For a limited time, the game will be priced at $38.99, which is 35% off its current list price of $59.99. It is worth pointing out that the PlayStation Store’s deal for the game is currently one of the cheapest out there for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on the PS4.
During the game’s release last year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received mostly positive reviews from players and critics. The game also smashed sales records and earned several milestones such as the top-selling game of 2019, the biggest selling digital opening in Activision’s history, and the highest digital sales on PS4 for a three day period. It is worth remembering that within its first three days in the market, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sold more units than any other Call of Duty game for the current console generation.

Meanwhile, after months of leaks and speculation, Activision and Infinity Ward finally confirmed Call of Duty: Warzone, which is a stand-alone free-to-play battle royale game. Initially, it was assumed that players would need to own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to access Warzone, but the studio confirmed yesterday that this is not the case. Warzone is available right now, and players who own Modern Warfare were able to access the battle royale game four hours earlier than the rest. The game will be available to everyone at 12pm PT.
Of course, the most important question that players on the PS4 may have about Call of Duty: Warzone is if it will be accessible even without a PS Plus subscription. Luckily, it has been confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone will be available for free to all PlayStation 4 players, even those who do not have a subscription to PlayStation Plus. However, PS Plus subscribers will receive an early access bonus to Call of Duty: Warzone Combat Pack, which will remain exclusive to PS Plus members until October 1, 2020.
