The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare open beta is currently live across PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and dataminers have been digging through the game’s PC files for clues. As it so happens, dataminers have found a list of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer maps in the game’s PC files, revealing the possible return of fan favorite maps like Call of Duty 4’s Shipment and Modern Warfare 2’s Terminal.

Dataminers have dug through the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PC files to find map lists for both the 2v2 Gunfight mode and the standard multiplayer mode. They were able to discover eight Gunfight maps, including the previously-known Docks, King, Pine, Speedball, and Stack, in addition to some that have yet to be seen. Unannounced Gunfight maps found in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare include Cargo, Hill, a night variation of King, and a map called Showers

The dataminers at VG Sources have also found an extensive list of maps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s standard multiplayer. As previously stated, the list includes the likes of Shipment and Terminal, returning maps from past Call of Duty games. It also includes some new maps that haven’t been officially announced by Activision or Infinity Ward at the time of this writing.

Leaked Gunfight Maps

  • Cargo Hill King King (Night) Docks Pine Showers Speedball Stack

Leaked Multiplayer Maps

  • Aniyah Palace Aniyah Tac Azhir Cave (Night) Azhir Cave Crash Dam Deadzone Grounded Scorch Varskaya District Euphrates Bridge Faridah Smetna Farms Frontier Gulag Hackney Yard Hackney Yard (Night) Lumber Malyshev Precinct Milbase 1 Milbase 2 Neon Petrogad Piccadilly Port 2 Noir Prison Frost Crusher Gun Runner Gun Runner (Night) Rivne Rust Shipment Shipment (Night) Terminal Slums Spear Spear (Night) Speed Stadium Sub Base Transit Takedown Torez Karst River Quarry

Now the question is whether or not these leaked maps will actually make it into the final game. More substantial assets for Rust have already been found in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game files, so it stands to reason that Rust at the very least will be coming to the game at some point. Otherwise, it’s unclear which of the unannounced maps will be in the game at launch, but it’s quite possible some will be added as post-launch DLC.

All Call of Duty: Modern Warfare DLC maps will be free, so at least fans will be able to play them without having to pay extra. But before anyone gets too excited about playing on classic maps like Terminal, Shipment, or Rust, they should wait for an official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare map list from Activision.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launches on October 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
