The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare February 19 update appears to have caused a number of problems in the game. While most of these are fairly minor, others have been causing players real headaches. One new issue that seems to have appeared after the Modern Warfare February 19 update is input delay bug that impacts the online multiplayer gameplay in a variety of different ways.

The conversation on this Modern Warfare input delay bug started when Reddit user Zachs_Drunk uploaded a clip of it to Reddit. In the clip, Zachs_Drunk is unable to vault on top of a vehicle on the Docks map in Gunfight because of the input delay bug. Other users then commented with their own examples of the Modern Warfare input delay bug since downloading the February 19 update. This includes input delay for tactical grenades, sprinting, and even reloading weapons.

It’s unclear exactly how widespread this issue is in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The initial Reddit post has just over 200 upvotes at the time of this writing, so it doesn’t seem to be a huge issue that is impacting the majority of players. Regardless, here’s hoping that Infinity Ward is able to address the problem sooner rather than later so those who are delaying with the input delay can get back to normal gameplay.

Besides this apparent input delay problem, the Modern Warfare February 19 update has also been accused of causing some other problems in the game. For example, some Modern Warfare players have reported that their Activision friends list disappeared after downloading the update. Others still are dealing with an issue where multiplayer perks will not activate properly in the game. While it’s possible that something else is causing these problems, they only appear to have cropped up after the February 19 update.

Luckily, fans shouldn’t have to wait too long for Infinity Ward to fix these problems. Infinity Ward releases Call of Duty: Modern Warfare updates on a regular basis, consistently adding new content and more to the game. Considering this, fixes for the problems supposedly caused by the Modern Warfare February 19 update could release any day.

Of course, those fixes could cause more unforeseen problems, but that is the nature of a live service style game like Modern Warfare. Regardless, we know that Infinity Ward is releasing a new Modern Warfare update next week, so perhaps some fixes will be in store sooner rather than later.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
