A group of college students from Cambridge have revealed plans to exhibit their games alongside major players in the video games industry at next week’s E3.

The group of 16-19 year-olds from Cambridge Regional College will be showcasing 13 mobile titles from their student-run development company Rizing Games, including twin-stick alien shooter Operation Swarm, puzzle game FlikIt and fishing-action game Fishing For Clues.

Each game has been developed and published by students on the college’s Games Development course, with future games also set to come to PlayStation platforms.

“I am really excited about exhibiting at E3,” said 19 year-old student Sam Barnett. “Students of our age don’t usually get such a great opportunity to be out there.”

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for us,” added Taylor Matheron, 18. “I’m looking forward to talking to other developers in the industry who hopefully will give us some really valuable feedback.”

E3 opens next Tuesday, June 16, with the first press conferences beginning this Sunday night.
