The annual Jump Festa celebration of all things Jump, including manga, anime, and video games, is quickly approaching. And this year looks to be quite the convention, with gaming company attendees including Bandai Namco, Capcom, Konami, Level-5, Nintendo, Sega, and Square Enix. All eyes may be on Capcom specifically, however, as rumors are swirling that the company may have two unannounced projects to show during Jump Festa 2020.

Japanese website ryokutya2089 is reporting that Capcom will be showcasing four different games during Jump Festa 2020. However, publicly available details about the event show that Capcom has only officially announced two games being shown at Jump Festa 2020: Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and the Mega Man Zero/ZX collection. As such, there’s a lot of speculation that Capcom may be announcing two new games either at Jump Festa itself or in the weeks between now and then.

Exactly what games Capcom could announce is a mystery. Since Capcom makes a variety of games, from blockbuster AAA titles to games for mobile phones, any guess seems reasonable. There is one rumor that is getting a lot of attention, however. Capcom may be working on a Resident Evil 3 remake for launch in 2020, which could definitely be shown at Jump Festa 2020.

Another question worth asking is where Capcom will be announcing these two potentially new games. Jump Festa may be a great event, but it’s not necessarily a high profile place to announce anything other than manga or anime-related games. Luckily, there are two high-profile events prior to Jump Festa where a game might be announced. The Game Awards 2019 on December 12 would be a great place to announce a AAA-game like Resident Evil 3 Remake. And Capcom Cup 2019, which ends on December 15, would be a perfect place to announce a new Capcom fighting game.

Jump Festa 2020 will run from December 21 through 22 and while rumors are swirling that two unannounced games are potentially going to be revealed at the event, it’s much more likely that two new games will be announced before then and will then be shown at the event. Those games could be Resident Evil 3 Remake and a new fighting game, but could easily but something else or even nothing at all.

The good news is that, with The Game Awards 2019 and Capcom Cup 2019 being just two weeks away, Capcom fans won’t have to wait long to find out more.
