Filmmaker brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, most famous for their work on the Captain America movies and the upcoming Infinity War films, are looking back to 1979 for their next project.
The pair are re-imagining Walter Hill’s The Warriors movie as a one hour TV series for Paramount TV and Hulu, reports Deadline.
Deadline states that the series will be true to the film, but with a unique brand of grit, pulp, sex and violence.
Whilst the brothers are confirmed to direct the pilot there’s no word on who will helm the series beyond that.
The film focused on gang warfare in New York City and one gang’s fight to survive after being wrongly accused of murder.
The Warriors later got the video game treatment by Rockstar Games, which is now available as a PS2 Classic on PS4.
