Catherine Full Body is a weird puzzle platformer that asks the player intense moral questions as they navigate a character through what’s described by the game as a love square. As Vincent dives further into the nightmare world and his real-world similarly becomes a nightmare, the player must decide which relationships to pursue and which to discard.
There are multiple endings depending on how the player handles these social interactions and each has interesting, and some very disturbing, developments for Vincent and the direction his life takes.
WARNING: TONS of spoilers ahead.
13 Catherine Bad
In this ending, Vincent asks Catherine to marry him, but she refuses and he never sees her again. It’s presumed he goes back to Katherine, but it’s clear his heart isn’t in it and what happens from there is ambiguous.
To get this ending the player needs to have the meter be very blue, and at Stage 9-2 answer yes, yes, and anything that embraces chaos.
12 Catherine Good
This very awkward ending sees Vincent proposing to Catherine. Surprised and a bit rebellious against her father’s wishes, she accepts. Later it’s revealed they’ve moved to the Underworld and Boss has been forced to share a bed with the two enthusiastic lovers.
To get this ending, the meter must be heavily in the red. The answers after Stage 9-2 must be yes, yes, and anything embracing chaos.
11 Catherine True
This ending plays out exactly like the Catherine Good ending with one notable exception. After the awkward scene with Boss in the bed, it cuts to several weeks later where Vincent has become a demon himself. In his new form, he’s usurped Nergal, uses him as a throne and has an entire harem of succubi to fawn over him.
For this ending, the meter must be heavily in the red. At Stage 9-2 he must reject a peaceful life and embrace a chaotic one.
10 Catherine Alternate
Introduced in Full Body, this ending sees Vincent and Catherine expressing their feelings for each other before a portal takes them away. Vincent wakes up in high school several years earlier and Catherine is a new transfer student. They get married, have kids, and live happily ever after, probably.
This ending requires that Vincent’s meter is firmly in the blue and he answers yes to every question in Stage 9.
9 Freedom Bad
Vincent decides to give up on both women and live his life a free bachelor. He pressures Boss for money and bets it all on a women’s wrestling match. It’s revealed he lost the bet but doesn’t seem to care as he embraces the single life.
To get this ending the meter must be either heavily blue or red it doesn’t matter which you just have to be committed to one. Then at Stage 9-2 answer No, No, then Yes.
8 Freedom True
Many fans consider this the healthiest ending for everyone involved and it plays out almost exactly the same as the Freedom Bad except he wins the bet and receives a ton of money. Vincent uses this money to get into the space program and now lives on a large colony ship, stating life requires ambitions to be meaningful.
Getting this ending is a bit tricky as it requires the meter to be firmly between blue and red. Then the player must answer No, No, and yes in Stage 9-2.
7 Katherine Bad
In this ending Vincent has decided to abandon Catherine and return to his girlfriend Katherine. He tries to explain that Catherine was a succubi and therefore his cheating doesn’t count, but Katherine won’t hear it and leaves him. It’s left to the player to speculate what happens to Vincent.
The player must have their meter firmly in the red and then answer yes, yes, and state they want peaceful days in Stage 9-2.
6 Katherine Good
This ending is very similar to the bad one, except Vincent’s friends corroborate his story and Boss even displays supernatural abilities. Hesitantly Katherine decides to give it another shot with Vincent. The game fast forwards to a few months later and Katherine and Vincent are in bed discussing the upcoming wedding.
For this ending, the meter must be blue and the player must answer yes, yes, and select peaceful days in Stage 9-2.
5 Katherine True
In this ending Vincent reveals the supernatural occurrences and receives help from his friends and boss to convince her. While Katherine believes them she’s still convinced that the fact he wanted to cheat and acted on it, illusion or not, means it stills counts. Ultimately she gives him a second chance, they get married and their relationship inspires Vincent’s friend to similarly put their lives together. This is considered the canonical ending of the game.
Getting this ending requires the meter to be firmly in the blue. The player must answer they want a peaceful life, reject chaos, and state they’re ready to live a life of peace.
4 Katherine Alternate
In this ending, Vincent begs Katherine to take him back, but she refuses stating cheating is cheating illusion or no. Having suffered a blow to her self-esteem Katherine eventually works her way into becoming an employee with a fashion magazine and a highly successful one at that. Vincent tries one more time to get her back, but she rejects him again revealing she’s moved on with someone else.
This one is a bit more complicated so it’s recommended you find a guide. Generally speaking, you’ll want your meter in the middle and respond to Katherine’s text messages positively. Then in Stage 9-2 answer yes, no, and no.
3 Rin Bad
Rin leaves Vincent and states he wants to help other people and is giving Vincent time to become the person he needs to be. At some point in the future Rin returns to Vincent, though their fate is unknown.
The Rin endings are very complicated to achieve and require unlocking Rin by answering the questions throughout the stages in a specific way. Roughly speaking you want to answer in a way that embraces new experiences and true love. Once you unlock this route you get this ending by getting fewer than five answers right on the ninth stage.
2 Rin Good
This ending sees Rin’s brother turn into small pink aliens and reveals that the aliens have helped humanity over the years via ‘miracles’. Vincent and Rin decide they should try to make their relationship work.
This ending requires that you get at least one answer wrong on the 10th Day in the Nightmare.
1 Rin True
This ending is the same as the Good ending but sees Rin playing the piano at a concert for aliens with Vincent and his entourage in tow. Vincent is Rin’s manager and the two get married.
This ending requires the player gets every answer right during the Rin route. It’s the toughest to achieve without a guide so it’s recommended you get one and follow it carefully to get this ending.
