A new mobile Pokémon game called PokéLand has just entered alpha testing in Japan. The alpha is on Android phones only, and the first batch of alpha participants tops out at 10,000 (though more will be recruited ‘from time to time.)
One user has already posted what is claimed to be some gameplay footage of the alpha, and it looks legit when compared to the official screens. It features real time combat as you control your Pokémon directly, kind of like Pokémon Rumble. It also connects to your Nintendo Account, which is why the footage features a Mii.
According to Atheerios, who shared the footage, the Pokémon auto-run and collect items automatically, and you, the player, just tap to attack.

There are currently quite a few Pokémon games in the app store. The latest is Magikarp Jump, which we will not hear a word said against because it’s Magikarp deserves a break.
