Fans of the annual WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw series are eagerly anticipating the release of this year’s installment. Sure, there are always new features and new modes that we can tear through for some satisfaction. But there is really only one reason that we lay down the cash for the game at roughly the same time every year, and that reason is an updated roster.

The generous people at Yuke’s and THQ have recognized your morbid desire to learn who made the cut into the final roster, and have accordingly made a trailer showing off all of the WWE Superstars and Divas who will be blessing the game with their presence. There is great representation from the SmackDown! and Raw brands, and the debut of several Superstars who have emerged in the past year. Superstars like Shamus and Evan Borne are two characters that have certainly gained some attention in the past 12 months, and they can both be found in the game – which is awesome news for the WWE universe.

You can check out the final roster for WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2011 in the trailer below.

The trailer burned through the roster pretty quickly, so if you missed anyone, here is the final list:

SmackDown!

  • Big Show Beth Phoenix Chavo Guerrero Christian CM Punk Cody Rhodes Drew McIntyre Dolph Ziggler Finlay Jack Swagger JTG Kane Kelly Kelly Kofi Kingston Luke Gallows Matt Hardy Michelle McCool MVP Rey Mysterio Shad The Undertaker Vance Archer

Raw

  • Alicia Fox Batista Bret Hart (Pre-Order Bonus) Brie Bella Chris Jericho David Hart Smith Edge Evan Bourne Eve Ezekiel Jackson Gail Kim Goldust John Cena John Morrison Primo Randy Orton R-Truth Mark Henry Maryse Melina Natalya Nikki Bella Santino Marella Shawn Michaels Sheamus Ted DiBiase The Miz Triple H Tyson Kidd Vladimir Kozlov William Regal Yoshi Tatsu Zack Ryder

Now, that’s not an awful list, but they really are missing out on WWE Legends such as Stone Cold and The Rock (even Bret Hart is only a pre-order exclusive), which is a little bit of a downer. Legends like those guys deserve to be in this title, but with a total of 55 Superstars and Divas, you really can’t be that disappointed. It’s especially  awesome to see Shawn Michaels make the roster even after his big retirement, and it’ll feel good to tune up the band and play some of that Sweet Chin Music with the Heart Break Kid one last time.

What do you guys think about SmackDown! vs. Raw 2011’s final roster? Who would you have liked to seen make the cut?

WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2011 will release on October 29th on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS, and PSP.
