Chris Jericho won the AEW World Championship on Saturday night at All Out.
And then, he lost it.
Well, not really. Jericho was eating at the Longhorn Steakhouse upon returning to Florida after his win over Hangman Adam Page on Saturday night. His limo dropped him off and then returned to the airport. Jericho took the wrong luggage while at the airport and his limo driver, according to the police report, returned to the airport to bring the luggage back.
When the limo returned to pickup Jericho at the restaurant, his AEW World Championship was missing.
The police report with the Tallahassee Police Department reads as follows:
Jericho recorded a video, which was posted to AEW’s Twitter page, on Tuesday night explaining what happened (in character). In the video, Jericho said he was launching a private investigation.
AEW launches its weekly television program, currently titled AEW on TNT on Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. The show will go head-to-head against WWE’s NXT brand, which begins airing live on Wednesday nights on the USA Network on Sept. 18.
Jericho, who has beaten Kenny Omega and Page during his AEW run, is the company’s first-ever world champion.
