Square Enix is marking today’s launch of RPG remaster Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition with a new trailer.

Fans can look forward to the 1999 PlayStation classic with a fresh lick of paint in this release. The game’s 3D models and text have been given a HD overhaul, along with new artwork and redesigned characters. If you prefer a more retro style, you can toggle the visual upgrades on and off with the touch of a button too.

Square Enix has also given the game’s audio a thorough tune-up, with refined background music by Yasunori Mitsuda. There’s even a brand new song from the composer, alongside seven re-arranged tracks from the game & 1996 prequel Radical Dreamers. In fact, the aforementioned text based prequel gets its first Western release here too.

Gameplay-wise, you can now find some additional quality of life features. They include battle enhancement features and an auto-battle function. You can even turn off enemy encounters altogether, if you’d rather focus on the story. Finally, the PlayStation 4 version also comes with a special PS4 theme featuring main characters Serge and Kid.

You can check the trailer out for yourself below. Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
