Square Enix has announced Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, a remastered version of the classic RPG coming this April.

If you’re unfamiliar, the story follows Serge, who somehow manages to slip into an alternate version of his world. Soon enough, he ends up in a race to save both his original and this new world, and lots of timey-wimey shenanigans occur. The game originally released for the PlayStation back in 1999 and features a whopping 40 potential party members. However, this’ll also be the first time that Chrono Cross has officially released in Europe.

Naturally, there’s some new features in this Dreamers Edition including upscaled and overhauled visuals including HD 3D models. Elsewhere, there’s new artwork and character redesigns from Nobuteru Yuuki along with remastered music from the game’s composer, Yasunori Mitsuda. On top of all that, players can also enjoy a range of additional options, including background filters and the option to switch enemy encounters off. And yes, you’ll be able to flip between the original and updated graphics at will.

If that wasn’t enough, the game even comes with obscure text-adventure prequel from 1996, Radical Dreamers – Le Trésor Interdit. If you’d not heard of it, this curio was originally released exclusively on the Satellaview – a satellite modem peripheral – for the SNES in 1996.

You can check out a trailer for the collection below. Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition lands on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on April 7.
