For decades, Nintendo games have been a source of entertainment for college students. Now, Nintendo is coming to campuses itself with Switch consoles and games for college students to enjoy.

According to Level Up, Nintendo will be bringing its hybrid console to several colleges throughout the United States for students to enjoy with friends and peers while playing the latest games from Nintendo. Games to be featured at the college events include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Party, and the recent Switch remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

You can pre-register for the event on the Nintendo Switch Together Tour website.

As seen above, this is quite a wide selection of campuses across the country. This appears somewhat similar to Nintendo’s tour to various state fairs around the country, bringing Switch consoles and games along for people to demo. In this case, it is specifically for college students, which is a demographic likely to show up for the event. Although, professors might join as well, so be prepared for a game of Smash against your Psychology professor.

As for the games being presented, it is an admirable selection. Super Mario Party, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are definite no-brainers for an event like this, though bringing along The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening also seems to be a good idea since it stands out as the latest single-player experience from Nintendo, and is receiving widespread praise. If you’re a college student or professor at one of these colleges or a nearby one, be sure to sign up now for a great time playing some of the Nintendo Switch’s best games.
