Fortnite players have seen their fair share of secret challenges. In the past, there were those like the coral buddies series and space ship repairs. Now, a new Fortnite secret challenge has emerged involving gnomes. The challenge, known as the Event of the Year, requires you to visit a slurp gnome poster. It is quite simple to complete, as you just have to visit a location on the map. Then, you will be rewarded with some all important XP to go towards your Battle Pass.
Hop into a match and earn some easy XP
For this challenge, you have to visit the landmark known as Stumpy Ridge. If you are not familiar with this landmark, you can find it to the northeast of Slurpy Swamp. The poster is positioned on a fence, near a patch of trees. As the landmark is quite a small area, it should not take you long to find the gnome poster. All you have to do is approach the poster and you will be notified that the challenge has been completed. It is important to note that you may encounter enemy players who are also attempting to complete the secret challenge. You may want to gather some weapons before making your way towards the Stumpy Ridge landmark.
Upon completion of the the Event of the Year, you will receive 20,000 XP for your efforts. Secret challenges are an easy way to gain more XP in Fortnite, so make sure you do not miss out. It will be interesting to see what other secret challenges this season will have to offer.
