Update: Crackdown 3 will use the cloud only in its multiplayer mode, Microsoft has confirmed.

The blog continues: “Crackdown 3 will also deliver a groundbreaking competitive multiplayer mode, where everything is physical thanks to the Microsoft Cloud. Harness 20 times the power of your Xbox One to unleash 100 percent destructible environments for the first time ever in gaming and create your own explosive stories in the process.”

Original report: Crackdown 3 from Microsoft and Raegent Games have announced Crackdown 3 for release in 2016, with a multiplayer beta to launch in summer 2016.

In Crackdown 3 players must stop a ruthless criminal empire as a super-powered Agent of justice.

The game will make use of cloud computing to access processing power around 20 times the capabilities of Xbox One.
