The Cross-buy and Cross-save functionality of Quantum Break on Xbox One and Windows 10 looks set to become a platform feature, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has told fans on Twitter.
“We’ll make it a platform feature,” said Spencer. “We think it’s good for gamers.”
Spencer’s comment indicated the functionality wouldn’t be limited to first-party releases.
He added that “more players, more games, better ecosystem” is the goal.
Yesterday Microsoft announced the Windows 10 release of Quantum Break on April 5, day and date with the Xbox One version. Those who pre-order Quantum Break from the Xbox Store will get a free download of the game for Windows 10.
