One of the biggest titles coming next year is Cyberpunk 2077, another massive open-world game from The Witcher developers at CD Projekt RED. As the game’s launch date continues to inch closer, the studio has been more and more forthcoming with information, though it’s typically at major gaming events like E3. Now, while the studio shows off a new build of the game behind closed doors at Gamescom 2019, the company finally clarified whether or not the gameplay demo would be making its way to the public at some point.

In an updated news post, CD Projekt RED confirmed that its current Gamescom 2019 gameplay demo of Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for everyone to watch next week. Unlike past gameplay reveals, the studio is planning to show off a 15-minute edit of the gameplay through a stream over Twitch and Mixer, with an added bonus with a developer interview session immediately afterward.

Head of Communication, Hollie Bennett, will be hosting the stream as they take a deeper dive into Cyberpunk 2077’s gameplay, creative decisions, and provide even more information on the game include the new zone of Pacifica. Interested fans can tune in starting on August 30th, 8 PM CEST (11 AM PT) from the official CD Projekt RED Twitch or Mixer channels.

While that’s certainly good news for fans, CD Projekt RED also had to deliver a bit of bad news regarding its scheduled PAX West appearance. Originally, the company was set to show off even more gameplay at the annual Seattle event, but unforeseen circumstances are now going to prevent the developer panel from happening. While the cosplay event is still on, the company will instead be streaming Cyberpunk 2077 directly from Warsaw, Poland instead.

Following its major E3 2019 reveal, the company has been pretty active with the community providing answers to questions as well as small details on specific gameplay elements. While there hasn’t been huge news for Cyberpunk 2077 at Gamescom 2019, it was revealed that Johnny Silverhand, an NPC portrayed by Keanu Reeves, was actually developed in conjunction with the popular actor. The collaboration saw Reeves offer his own interpretation on what Silverhand would say in certain situations, so fans will recognize a part of Reeves in the character.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16, 2020, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
