Warner Bros. Discovery and DC have announced the cancellation of this year’s DC Fandome event with the following statement to ThePopVerse:“With the return of in person events, Warner Bros. Discovery is excited to be able to engage with our fans live at numerous comic-cons around the world and will not be scheduling DC FanDome for 2022.” The news while, initially, somewhat shocking, soon seems once that initial shock has worn off, as inevitable, given the spate of recent changes and upheavals in regards to the DC Cinematic Universe with the delayed release dates for both Shazam: Fury of the Gods, and Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. In addition to the cancellation of the Batgirl movie, and all of the controversies surrounding The Flash lead actor Ezra Miller.As noted in their statement to ThePopVerse, Warner Bros. Discovery and DC have already shown exclusive previews of Black Adam, and Shazam: Fury of the Gods at this years San Diego Comic Con, and with New York Comic Con scheduled for October 6th to October 9th.
