Antony Johnston, one of the writers of Dead Space, suggested that people should tune into the PlayStation 5 event on June 11 for a reveal of his latest project (via Game Informer).

The project has been in development for almost two years, he said, and that it’s a “big” game. Now, “big” could be interpreted in different ways. Of course, working on a game for the next generation of hardware is a “big” achievement, so hats off to Johnston. It could also be a literal meaning, that the game itself is a ginormous open-world affair. Or, it could relate to a “big” IP, revived once again on the PlayStation 5.

The event will present a number of titles on their way to the PlayStation 5, as well as “some cool audio work” which is likely to be the Tempest engine strutting its stuff. From 1.00pm PDT / 9.00pm BST / 10.00pm CEST tomorrow, the show will be about an hour long and will be broadcast on Twitch and YouTube. Obviously, Sony has kept its cards close to its chest about the games to be revealed, but now, Johnston has shed a little light on the subject.

As some of you know, I’ve been working on a big videogame for almost 2 years now.

In totally unrelated news, you should all watch the PS5 launch event on Thursday.

There have been rumblings that there will be a new Silent Hill game made for the PlayStation 5. Johnston added a cryptic comment that this game he’s been working on follows someone “having a really bad time.” And, correct me if I’m mistaken, but no one’s ever thought about coming to Silent Hill for a grand day out. Well, we’ll have to wait and see what this game is about, but fortunately, we won’t be waiting very long.

Hint: you play a character having a really bad time https://t.co/yVvUwZVdS2
