On March 9th, Destiny 2’s current Season of Dawn will come to an end as the tenth Season of the Worthy will replace it. With just a few weeks left in the current season, there are a few things players will want to make sure they get done before the season switches over. Some content will no longer be available once Season 9 ends, such as the Sundial activity, so that adds some extra impetus to complete some tasks before they are no longer a part of the game.
Little is known about Season of the Worthy outside of it being all but officially confirmed that Trials of Osiris will return as part of Season 10. But until Bungie reveals more about Season 10 and gives hints about what is coming up, here are the things players should be wrapping up over this next month.
The Savior Title
Completing the Season of Dawn seal rewards the Savior title. It is a pretty simple title for this season. considering the fact that there aren’t any raid or dungeon requirements like some previous seals and titles in Destiny 2. There are still some secret Triumphs that have yet to be discovered or unlocked in the game yet, but many of the Triumphs including those involved with the Sundial and the obelisks will only be available during this season.
Iron Banner Armor Quests
Iron Banner this season brought with it an Armor 2.0 version of the Year 1 Iron Truage set. As was the case last season, unlocking the full set of armor required completing the Iron Banner quest picked up from Lord Saladin. With one more Iron Banner left of the season, players who want to collect that set on any remaining characters will want to run the quest—which just so happens to be even easier now after Bungie decided to auto-complete the rocket launcher defeats step after player complaints.
Season Ranks
With the new seasonal model in Year 3 and the addition of the season pass, players will want to make sure that they reach rank 100 to unlock every reward on the season pass. The quickest, most efficient way to do this, love it or hate it, is the mostly-mindless task of running Moon bounties to farm XP.
Sundial Weapons
The Sundial and the obelisks will be removed from the game at the end of the season, so any weapons players want will need to be earned before the end of the season. The Breachlight sidearm is one of this season’s favorites, and there also some great rolls on the Patron of Lost Causes scout rifle, Galant Charge fusion rifle, Martyr’s Retribution new grenade launcher archetype, Line in the Sand linear fusion rifle, Perfect Paradox shotgun, Trophy Hunter sniper rifle, and Pyroclastic Flow rocket launcher. Farm for that perfect roll before they’re gone.
Season 9 Vanguard and Crucible Quests
One of the lesser-known seasonal rituals is a somewhat-lengthy quest from both the Vanguard and Crucible that can be picked up from Zavala and Shaxx, respectively. Both quests reward an emblem and a shader that is earned only by completing these particular quests. The Vanguard quest “Duty Driven” has various requirements that are completed in strikes while the Crucible quest “Stronger Together” is obviously tied to completing objectives in PvP.
Pinnacle/Ritual Weapon Quests
The quests for pinnacle and this season’s Destiny 2 ritual weapons are not going away and will be able to be completed after this season; however, many of these quests require players to earn a certain rank in strikes, the Crucible, or Gambit, and that rank progress will be reset at the end of the season. So, if players are close to reaching Fabled or resetting their Infamy, they will want to reach whatever rank milestone they need to before season’s end.
