Destiny 2 fans may be familiar with the name ScoobyDeezy, as this Redditor has time and again put together a timeline detailing the full events of the Destiny 2 universe. Surely, this is not easy feat, as the lore itself is complicated and dates far back, from the origins of the cosmos and the arrival of the Traveler all the way through current events. Be forewarned, however, that this timeline could potential POTENTIAL SPOILERS for the franchise, as some contingent points have come from datamines.

Before moving forward, it’s worth mentioning that the nature of such a timeline means lore and teases could be interpreted in many different ways. With Destiny 2 continuing to expand and lore constantly being re-contextualized, it’s hard to keep everything straight, but ScoobyDeezy’s timeline appears as thorough as possible given this.

As such, ScoobyDeezy states that this is the most confident timeline yet, thanks to the happenings of Saint-14, the exile of Osiris receiving an official year of 294, and the timeline changes of Season of Dawn. It has completely changed the events of the Dark Age and the City Age, though these big lore dives have implications elsewhere as well, yet it’s also worth acknowledging that ScoobyDeezy did not do all of this on his own. A complete discord server seems dedicated to compiling and refining this timeline, meaning it will likely change again, as there are still many questions to sort out.

The timing of the Ironsbane, for example, with everything else reported provides two different possibilities for when the Iron Lords met their demise, all of which is noted in the timeline. Nonetheless, this timeline and the lore of Destiny 2 is a major timesink for invested fans, but those interested can check it out right here.

Of course, Destiny 2’s season of dawn has just begun, meaning there’s likely more info to be revealed over the next few weeks. The season of dawn itself has brought a number of changes to Destiny 2, so it’s not just the lore changing, but a whole new chapter of the game hitting its stride. How this pays off in the long run remains to be seen.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
