Destiny 2’s community has finally solved the Corridors of Time puzzle, but some players aren’t happy about it.
The Corridors of Time has been solved. The strange new quest that arrived completely by surprise last week took the Destiny 2 community by storm. Thousands of players spent even more thousands of hours arranging expeditions into the Corridors of Time to try and delve its depths, searching for anything and everything.
After 6 days and over 5,000 hours of constant effort, the community now believes they’ve found everything there is to find. Down 19 smaller paths, you will find 19 new lore entries and a brand new emblem. And down the 20th path, the first step in acquiring the Bastion Exotic Fusion Rifle.
For more on how to get the Bastion Exotic Fusion Rifle, check out our guide here. It’s a bit involved, so we’re not going to go over the details here.
There was a lot of effort poured into solving this puzzle, and while many players are quite happy with the outcome, some players are saying that the Corridors of Time weren’t all they were cracked up to be.
Reddit user eggfacemcticklesnort posted on the Raid Secrets subreddit to point out two foibles. While the Bastion Fusion Rifle is a nice find, it wasn’t exactly as surprising as some of Destiny 2’s other Exotic finds. Both Whisper of the Worm and Outbreak Perfected had equally long and involved quests, but they were complete bombshells when they first appeared. Bungie teased Bastion in their Season of the Dawn Roadmap over a month ago, making Bastion’s arrival fall a little bit flat.
And while Bastion is a fine gun, Saint-14 says that it’s actually the player’s favorite gun. I don’t even like fusion rifles, so how can it be my favorite gun?!
The Destiny 2 community is famous for never being satisfied with Bungie’s content drops, so perhaps these quibbles should be taken with a little bit of salt. Season of the Dawn might be a little light on content, but we expected that given how Shadowkeep was an enormous expansion. Give Bungie a break, guys.
