Destiny 2’s new Season of the Worthy launched this week, and while the season kicked off with a quest mission and some of the new PvE content of the season, many players are looking forward to the return of Trials of Osiris this Friday, March 13th. With the launch of Season of the Worthy, new files have been added to the game, which fans were able to data-mine for more detailed information about Trials of Osiris.

These details include the return of consumables (most commonly referred to as boons), medals and Triumphs, and bounties. While most of the medals and bounties are pretty run of the mill, longtime fans will likely be excited to know that a form of boons is coming back in Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2.

It is unknown exactly how the consumables will work, with the biggest question being if multiple consumables can be active at the same time similar to how they functioned in Destiny 1’s Trials of Osiris. There is an Experience consumable that grants bonus XP for Trials wins, scaling with the number of wins on a ticket; a Confidence consumable, which grants bonus rewards from the Flawless chest in the Lighthouse; Mercy, which will wipe one loss from the ticket per run; Wealth, which gives more Trials tokens for completing and winning Trials matches; and, Ferocity, which grants a bonus win on a third win without any losses.

It would seem like players may be forced to pick one consumable, weighing the risk/reward of what will be most beneficial for them. However, players could activate multiple consumables in the original Destiny’s Trials of Osiris, so that could still be possible. If it is, activating both a Mercy and Ferocity consumable could potentially allow players to go Flawless (7 wins, zero losses) with an overall 6-1 run.

There are over 30 medals and Triumphs for Trials of Osiris and even more bounties specific to Trials. The bounties vary with their requirements including completing matches and getting wins, defeating opponents, earning kills with different elemental damage types and weapon damage types, and more.

Interestingly, there are some bounties that require kills with specific weapons such as fusion rifles, pulse rifles, shotguns, and hand cannons. It will be interesting to see how much variance some of those bounties can introduce into the playlist that is usually very heavily weighted toward the best and most meta weapons in the game. At the very least, it is likely that players may enter back into Trials after completing their run just to complete the bounties.

The full list of Trials of Osiris consumables, medals, Triumphs, and bounties can be found on the Destiny subreddit.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
