Bungie announced on their blog that there will be exclusive emblems available for veteran Destiny players. Players can obtain a total of seven different emblems. These emblems act as a way to personalize a guardian and show off the trials and triumphs of the player. Unfortunately, some of the emblems are only available to those who participated in specific events. Four of the seven (Laurel Triumphant, Laurea Prima II, Slayer of Oryx, and Heard the Call) are tied to the first and second year Moments of Triumph. Two more (Young Wolf and Saladin’s Pride) can be obtained through the new Age of Triumph event and the last (Lore Scholar) is tied to the Grimoire cards. Players have until August 1, 2017 to complete the requirements for their emblems.

Unfortunately, not everything you have earned in Destiny will carry over the sequel. Power, possessions, certain items, and currency will not be available in Destiny 2. However, some things will transfer to the new game and support for Destiny will continue past the sequel’s launch.

Bungie has been updating their blog regularly with details on the end of Destiny and the upcoming Destiny 2. All seven banners and how to obtain them can be viewed in their June 22nd post. Additionally, they offer an in depth look at what does and does not carry over to the new game.

Veteran Destiny players have spent the past three years with their guardians. Bungie recognizes the attachment players have to their personalized characters and promises to help players preserve their guardians. As such, veteran Destiny players can transfer their guardian’s class, race, gender, facial features, hair, and markings over to the new game. However, this is only available to players who reached level 20 and completed the Black Garden main story mission. All of these are in addition to the exclusive achievement icons.

With Destiny 2 only a few weeks away, Destiny is getting one last hurrah. The Age of Triumph is in full swing. Participating in weekly activities will award players with a discount for The Age of Triumph shirt. Xûr will still make his normal appearances and console exclusives will soon be available to everyone, no matter the platform. All of this will help to see the first major chapter of the Destiny story to a close before the launch of Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is available for pre-order in the standard edition, digital standard edition, digital deluxe edition, limited edition, and collector’s edition for PlayStation, Xbox One, and PC. Players who pre-order the game will have access to the Open Beta. Destiny 2 launches on September 6 for consoles and October 24th for PC.
