Destiny To Be Offline For Up To Six Hours Today

Destiny will be offline for scheduled maintenance for up to six hours today, with Bungie teasing the downtime will be used to implement “future plans”.

Bungie announced the forthcoming maintenance via Twitter:

Spread the word. Destiny will be offline for maintenance tomorrow, starting at about 8AM PDT. Downtime could last for 6 hours. Future plans!

So expect to be unable to go looting the galaxy from around 4-10pm BST. With the tease of future plans, it’s possible that the developer is preparing the game for the forthcoming The Taken King expansion, which launches September 15.
