Square Enix has announced Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the next game in the hit FPS-RPG franchise heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The sequel is set two years after the conclusion of Human Revolution in 2029, and sees Adam Jensen joining forces with an Interpol-funded task force whose job is to capture augmented terrorists.

Jensen has a range of new augmentations to aid his stealth, combat and social interaction abilities, but how challenges are tackled is down to the player. Some of Jensen’s new skills include the ability to remote hack electronic objects, fire off his nano blade from a distance, and cocoon himself in a nanoshield.

Eidos Montreal has also worked to improve the game’s combat systems and boss encounters.

The game is currently without a release date.

UPDATE: Square Enix has released the first trailer and the game’s box art.
