Following multiple rumours, Activision has announced it is bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile devices. In a short blog post, the publisher wrote: “We are creating an all-new, AAA mobile experience that will bring the thrilling, fluid and large-scale action of Call of Duty: Warzone to players on the go”. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now, though the game has technically been available to play for many players since Thursday, October 24 at 9pm EST. City-building sim Cities: Skylines sold over 250,000 copies within its first 24 hours on sale, Paradox has announced, breaking the publisher’s previous sales records. Developed by Cities in Motion creator Colossal Order, Cities: Skylines went on sale on PC on Tuesday and has already been described by critics as “the best city-builder… since SimCity 4”. Slightly Mad Studios, the racing simulation specialist and developer of the award-winning Project CARS franchise, has been acquired by the UK studio Codemasters. Codemasters will now publish Project CARS, as well as an unannounced Hollywood blockbuster title. Codemasters already had a crew of critically acclaimed racing games in its stable before bringing Slightly Mad Studios on board. After teasing what many of us believed to be a Crysis 2 remaster last week, Crytek has now revealed that it’ll actually be releasing the entire three-game shooter series as the Crysis Remastered Trilogy later this year. The collection will comprise of remastered versions of all three games including last year’s Crysis Remastered but also a new remastering of the single player campaigns of both Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 with studio Saber Interactive helping Crytek to optimise the games for modern systems, and it’s promised to play “even smoother” on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5....

CD Projekt Red has announced that its eagerly awaited upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold, just after the game’s full map leaked online over the weekend. The map itself comes from a physical copy that will be included in the disk based versions of the game along with some promotional postcards, and was spotted over the weekend by WCCFTech. It shows the various districts of the game’s Night City location including Watson, Heywood and the City Center as well as the outer areas such as Westbrook and Santo Domingo....
Cyberpunk 2077 players will be waiting a bit longer for the latest patch. CD Projekt Red revealed via the game’s official Twitter today that patch 1.2 is delayed. The studio cited a recent cyberattack as the reason for the setback, but also predicted a new release date in the second half of March. It’s not yet clear what updates Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.2 will include. According to the tweet thread, CD Projekt Red needs “additional time” to work on the patch....

A bug causing weapons to break much faster in the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin will be fixed in an upcoming patch, Bandai Namco has confirmed. The glitch is apparently tied to the game’s higher 60fps frame rate, causing weapons to rapidly deteroriate in the current-gen and PC versions. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, which are both capped at 30fps, are not believed to be affected....
