The map featured in Crackdown 3’s campaign will be around the same size as the map in the original Xbox 360 Crackdown, the game’s creator Dave Jones has said. Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped are all being remastered for PlayStation 4, Sony has announced. Crash will also appear as a playable character in this October’s Skylanders Imaginators. Further details on the remasters were not revealed, although they are not due to arrive ahead of Skylanders Imaginators. UPDATE: Activision has confirmed that the remastered collection will release in 2017. It isn’t yet clear which studio is handling development....

A dataminer has uncovered further references to Ruby and her Demon Spawn secreted within Evil Dead: The Game’s files. Ruby - who hails from Ash vs. Evil Dead - has yet to make an appearance in the main game, and her absence from the roster was a surprising omission to some given the plethora of other characters from Evil Dead stories, both old and new. Now - thanks to a second batch of datamined voice files from our hero roster - it seems like she will indeed be making an appearance, seemingly batting for the Demons in these particular scenarios, although it’s not totally beyond the realm of possibility that she may turn up as a survivor, too - hopefully we’ll get an official reveal soon....

Monster-hunting game Dauntless is close to a release on both PS4, Xbox One, and PC, after only three weeks in open beta. The free-to-play ARPG has garnered attention recently and is looking to be a strong game. While the official launch is May 21, developer Phoenix Labs also expects to release on the Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms in the latter part of 2019. On the PC, players will be able to access the game through the Epic Games store, which seems appropriate as many are comparing the look and feel of the game to Fortnite, at least in terms of its color palette, player movement, environment setting, and finally, coveted cosmetic skins....

Days Gone developer Bend Studio has confirmed that the post-apocalyptic open world action adventure will get to enjoy a number of enhancements on PlayStation 5, including running at a dynamic 4K resolution at “up to” 60FPS. Confirming the news via a Tweet from the developer’s official account, Bend Studio also gave players confirmation that you will be able to transfer saves between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions, meaning you can continue a current playthrough or indeed jump straight into New Game+ if you fancy taking to the open road with Deacon and pals on the next-gen console....

Dead by Daylight loves a good tease, but its latest one was purely accidental, with developer Behavior Interactive inadvertently leaking an unannounced killer along with an unfinished version in a new patch. The killer happens to be Scream’s Ghostface, but details on the release haven’t yet been confirmed. Given that the leak happened through an official game update, there’s no doubt over the character itself. However, Behavior has confirmed that Ghostface is part of its upcoming chapter release....

A series of new Death Stranding trailers shown at Gamescom 2019 offer more information on the characters of Mama, Deadman, and the Bridge Baby. The game’s creator Hideo Kojima also used the event to share a new Death Stranding gameplay trailer, which continued highlighting the oddities of Kojima’s game. One of the new Death Stranding trailers revealed Mama’s tragic backstory. The character, played by Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress Margaret Qualley, explains to Sam that the otherworldly baby he can see can’t hurt him like the other spectral monsters....

Destiny 2 is heading to Steam on October 1. The momentous event will be the first time that Bungie has fully self-published a Destiny-related expansion without the help of Activision-Blizzard. The move from Battle.net to Steam will apply to all PC users, and console players will also have the means of using their main account, bringing all their items, resources, and currencies, via the cross-save function.
