The next update for Call of Duty Mobile will set players free from the limits of their devices’ touchscreens. In a news bulletin posted on the game’s official subreddit, Activision confirmed that the game will receive support for controllers on Android and iOS with an imminent patch. Call of Duty Mobile’s initial beta release over the summer included controller support for the on-the-go adaptation of the high-octane FPS series, but the capabilities were dropped when Activision opened access to all players for the game’s full launch in October....

As of tomorrow, we’ll be three quarters through the summer superhero season, with Green Lantern opening in theaters. The only one left after this is of course Captain America: The First Avenger. Like Thor and Green Lantern, Captain America is getting his own game as well, titled Captain America: Super Soldier. Marvel Entertainment has just announced a two-year sponsorship of Chiefs Esports Club, an Australia-based esports organization. The partnership will be focused on business within Australia and New Zealand. Details on how Marvel characters and iconography might manifest in Chief Esports’ projects are sparse as of now, beyond a promise of the integration of Marvel properties into “activations” by the esports organization. 10 months after the launch of Crackdown 3, rumors have now begun that a sequel, possibly named Crackdown 4, may be in development. Sumo Digital, the developers of Crackdown 3, has recently began recruiting for its next project. Over on the Sumo Digital website, the company has posted a variety of jobs, with the bulk of the postings in the Art and Coding categories. In 2019, the studio led development on Crackdown 3 and Team Sonic Racing, as well as assisted NetherRealm Studios on Mortal Kombat 11....

A lawsuit between Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red and its investors has been settled for $1.85m. The game was released in a notoriously buggy state, particularly on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which led to a complaint filed in December 2020 that alleged the developer misled both customers and investors on how playable the game was. Now, a federal judge in California has signed off on the settlement (thanks ArsTechnica), where everybody who acquired publicly traded CDPR shares throughout most of 2020 is eligible for settlement funds at roughly $0....

After months of speculation, Death Stranding 2 was officially announced at The Game Awards. This news follows a recent tease from creator Hideo Kojima, that showed a blanked out visage with the words “How come?” written across it. The Last Wish raid in Destiny 2: Forsaken arrived this past Friday. Bungie’s Destiny 2 has taken over the no.1 spot in the UK charts, trouncing every other game in one fell swoop. Destiny 2 was released on September 6, almost three years after the original game, and has succeeded in dethroning Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which moves down to second place.
