Disco Elysium, the surreal RPG that met critical acclaim in 2019, is coming to the Nintendo Switch (via Nintendo Life). The news comes from an interview with the game’s art director Aleksander Rostov and narrative lead Helen Hindpere during the BBC 5live’s ‘Game On’ podcast. Rostov stated jokingly that the interview was getting in the way of the design documentation needed to port the game to the new console. Hindpere qualified that the RPG will arrive on Switch “soon,” which could mean that the release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports could coincide....

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker director Shinya Hiratake has revealed that the game originally started out life as an unrelated project starring Link from The Legend of Zelda. Speaking during an interview with Polygon, Hiratake-san said the concept was born out of Ninty’s desire to feature a character exploring self-contained levels while being incapable of jumping. Electronic Arts has revealed that its planned Command & Conquer remasters won’t feature microtransactions. Phew! Control might be getting DLC, as YouTuber ManFightDragon discovered while using the game’s debugging tools (via PC Gamer). In their video of the game’s debug tool capabilities, ManFightDragon showed off Control’s free camera, funky alternate renders, and the ability to begin any mission in the game. Scrolling through the list of missions, one is very noticeable in pink text. It’s called, ‘St01_MM_04_Marshall_START_Plus_PS4_SM15_Dlc’. ‘Dlc’ could stand for diamond-like carbon, or domestic and light commercial insurance policy, but in this case we could safely assume that downloadable content is heading to Control in the future....
