UPDATE 29/06/22: Following Monday’s story regarding volunteers at Fntastic, the developer has provided a new update to Eurogamer. “Essentially, the word ‘volunteer’ comes from the Latin word ‘voluntarius’, meaning ‘willing’ or ‘of one’s own choice’,” it explained. “Anyone who is open to life can become a volunteer with Fntastic, and there are two types of volunteers. Today we have over 100 full-time internal volunteers (employees) from Singapore, Russia, the Netherlands, Thailand, Ukraine, Finland, Kazakhstan, and Belarus who work as engineers, artists, HR professionals, etc....

The quest to unlock Parasite comes once you complete the campaign, and even then, there is a lengthy set of steps yet to go. Daybreak Games has acquired Cold Iron Studios, the San Jose-based company currently working on a PC and console game set in the Alien universe (via Gematsu). “We’re incredibly proud and excited to be part of the Daybreak family,” said Craig Zinkievich, co-founder of Cold Iron Studios, in a press release. Zinkievich will still be one of the directors of the developer and its Alien game will not be shelved as a result of the acquisition....

Following the release of PS3 firmware 3.15, released this past Wednesday night, many PS3 users were expecting PSP Minis to be playable on PlayStation 3 consoles. However, not all PSP Minis are playable as of yet. IGN’s Greg Miller, was also confused by certain Minis that were not compatible with the PS3 emulator. Minis launched alongside the firmware update (Stand O’Food, etc.) should play without incident. However, many titles released prior to the update are not yet compatible....

Remedy Entertainment’s brand new sci-fi action-adventure game, Control, seems to be ahead of its time in both gameplay content and software, as players with older PS4s have reported that the game struggles greatly to run on the console. With Control’s cutting edge graphics and gameplay, the earlier PS4 hardware is having difficulty running the game smoothly, with some players claiming that it’s borderline unplayable. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as other gamers, such as IGN’s Jonathan Dornbush, have reported that even on a PS4 Pro, Control’s frame rate tends to drop every now and then....

Party Hard was an interesting 2D stealth strategy game released in 2015 where you played a serial killer who’d had enough of far too raucous parties (hey, we’ve all been there) and decides to get some peace and quiet by murdering as many guests as possible in creative ways before escaping. CD Projekt Red has revealed that the anime adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077, titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, will make its official Netflix premiere on September 13. Made by legendary animation company Studio Trigger, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will have all of its 10 episodes premiering at once, so viewers will not have to wait through any agonizing hiatuses for this one.
