Cult PS1 classic JRPG Chrono Cross is coming to Europe for the first time. The spiritual successor to the SNES favourite Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross was never released outside of Japan and America. Announced at last night’s Nintendo Direct with a release date of 7th April, Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is actually due out across PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam too. As a remaster, it will feature new HD 3D models, brand new artwork and character redesign by Nobuteru Yuuki, and refined background music by Yasunori Mitsuda....

Funcom has announced a new strategy game involving Conan the Barbarian called Conan Unconquered from developer Petroglyph Games. According to Funcom, ‘you must build your stronghold and assemble an unconquerable army to survive the savage hordes of Hyboria. Wave after wave of increasingly more difficult enemies will rush at your gates and you will need to manage resources, research new technologies to advance your defenses, and recruit an ever-growing army if you are to save survive utter destruction....

During PlayStation’s E3 2018 showcase we got our first glimpse at Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming game: Control. Control looked quite like the Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break, and is the P7 that has been coming for quite some time now. The official blurb from the 505 Games published title reads ‘After a secretive agency in New York is invaded by an otherworldly threat, you become the new Director struggling to regain Control....

Cooking Mama: Cookstar, the series’ debut on the Switch, experienced a strange launch that seemed to suggest the game was mining cryptocurrency from players’ consoles (via IGN). Announced in August 2019, Cooking Mama: Cookstar or Cooking Mama: Coming Home to Mama met with quite a buzz. The game is using Switch motion controls “for an immersive meal prep and cooking experience,” and adds a “Vegetarian” mode for meatless alternatives to recipes....

Activision and Toys for Bob have announced that last year’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be heading to the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch next month with a PC version to follow later in the year. The game, which originally launched last October for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will naturally be getting some upgrades on some of the new platforms; including native 4K at 60FPS on the higher-specced consoles and upscaled 4K on the Xbox Series S....

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy offered up the iconic marsupial to PC players for the first time back in June of 2018. As far as the franchise goes, despite these being remasters of the original trilogy, there hasn’t been a newly added Crash Bandicoot game in nearly 10 years. Crytek has released a new update for Crysis Remastered, giving the updated version of its futuristic FPS further enhancements, both of the graphic variety as well as adding some extra content and fixes to boot. Cyberpunk 2077 will be distributed in the UK and Europe by Bandai Namco Games, developer CD Projekt Red has announced. The move isn’t that surprising seeing as how Bamco previously published two of CD’s biggest titles, namely The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. The company will distribute Cyberpunk 2077 in 24 European countries, including the UK and Ireland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, and Spain....

The leaked entry was for Dead Island 2: Day One Edition with the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X versions being posted. Although a PC version wasn’t part of this leak we have no reason to assume that it won’t be coming. After all, the previous entry released on PC, and publisher Deep Silver has launched most of its games on PC as well. Alongside its release date, the listing also had a description for Dead Island 2....

The Japanese launch of Death Stranding has been getting a little rocky after the revelation that it features reviewer cameos…reviewers who have also since published their reviews of the game. The mascot character for Japan’s most prominent game magazine Famitsu pops up in Death Stranding, and it’s raising some eyebrows among fans. The post-apocalyptic action game also got a perfect score from Famitsu, which isn’t sitting well with people if Japan’s 2ch forums are anything to go by....

With Death Stranding now out and implementing risks that have paid off, the title has many enthralled with its plot and mechanics, as would be the case with past games from Hideo Kojima. Players have expressed their respect and fandom for the game in different ways, and one player has done so by posting a video to YouTube that shows what Death Stranding would be like on the original PlayStation....

PlayStation has announced a new State of Play broadcast to take place this Thursday, headlined by upcoming time-bending adventure Deathloop. As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, the broadcast will take around 30 minutes, with nine of those dedicated to some new gameplay footage showing off protagonist Colt’s abilities. We’re also told we’ll get a look at how you’ll be able to make your way through Blackreef Island both in a guns blazing fashion, or under the cover of stealth....

Publisher Playism has announced that DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game will launch onto Xbox consoles via Xbox Game Pass on November 23. The game, which has been in early access on PC since 2020, sees you take on the role of an entirely normal deer. And by entirely normal we mean one with a telescopic neck and grappling-hook antlers, of course. This is basically an excuse to then cause shenanigans in a sandbox town in a manner similar to 2014 indie hit Goat Simulator....

This time he’s back on the EDZ on Earth in the Winding Cove region – as usual, he’s marked on your map sitting just up the hill from the fast travel point and behind the crashed shuttle. His wares this week include the Graviton Lance pulse rifle which comes with the Black Hole ability where the third shot in every burst does high damage and all kills with the weapon make enemies explode....

The Spire of the Watcher dungeon in Destiny 2 was introduced alongside Year 5’s Season of the Seraph in December 2022. This dungeon takes place on Mars, and has you working with Osiris to stop a Vex incursion deep within a Warmind bunker. Alongside a suite of new weapons and armour, the big reward many players will no doubt be chasing is a new Exotic - the Hierarchy of Needs Solar bow, a new weapon for Destiny 2’s Season of the Seraph....
