Activision has had to alter a scene which implies a serious sexual assault is about to take place in Call of Duty: WWII. This controversial scene was edited in the Australian version of the game after a suggestion from the Classification Board. Activision is yet to confirm whether this change will apply to the game in other regions, or only Australia. Earlier today, Kotaku Australia reported that, Activision had resubmitted the game for reclassification after COD: WWII initially received an R18+ classification with consumer advice regarding the game’s inclusion of the ‘threat of sexual violence’....

A few days ago, it was announced that Chaos;Head Noah wouldn’t get released on Steam today as planned. Shockingly, Valve had informed publisher Spike Chunsoft that the game’s release would be blocked due to objectionable content. While the visual novel certainly does have some objectionable content, it isn’t any worse than a great many of the games already on Steam. Plus, plenty of things on the store are much more objectionable....

The Chinese government has stepped up its rules around live streaming platforms to prevent children from tipping streamers, or streaming themselves without guardian consent. As reported by Reuters, the change comes as part of a crackdown on the booming games sector. The National Radio and Television Administration said in a statement that livestreaming platforms need to step up controls for underage users (under 18). In addition, platforms will need to strengthen the management of peak hours for streaming shows, and shows will need to be turned off at 10pm local time for users under the “youth mode” parental control function....

Codemasters has announced a new Overlord game, with a full reveal coming at 2pm tomorrow, April 23. Judging by the teaser trailer, the new game appears to be a 4-player top-down action-strategy title, possibly similar to Gauntlet or, alternatively, Codemasters’ first foray into the MOBA genre. The game is being developed in-house at Codemasters, although platforms have yet to be confirmed. It also seems to be quite the departure from earlier games in the series, which saw players commanding minions from a third-person perspective....

Streamer accessory brand Elgato reveals a new capture card that records in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. Elgato, which is a division of gaming accessory company Corsair, also makes the Stream Deck which allows streamers to easily entertain viewers during their streams. At CES 2020, Corsair and Elgato announced the 4K60 S+ which they say provides “all the cutting-edge technology you need to record high-fidelity gameplay” without being connected to a powerful computer or have production tools in a studio....

Today NIS America released a new trailer of the Nintendo Switch version of the upcoming JRPG Crystar. The clip showcases Mirai, including her English voice. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the next project set in the Cyberpunk universe, premiers this September on Netflix. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an anime series based on the same universe as the game. And even though Cyberpunk 2077‘s launch was less than successful, those still invested in its lore should take note of the show. As reported in May, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners had the spotlight at Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022 event today. Here, we finally saw some footage of the anime via a teaser, as well as a glimpse behind the scenes....

Part of the Fool on the Hill side mission, this is the closest to collectables the game offers - having you track down 20 Tarot graffiti locations, each representing a different Tarot card. This quest unlocks a Cyberpunk 2077 Achievement or Trophy, so for completionists, it’s worth adding to your to-do list. Either way, even without fast travel, it took us around 90 minutes to complete from beginning to end....
