Destiny 2 will soon make two of its pinnacle weapon quests a bit easier after players have complained about their difficulty. In particular, this upcoming change will affect the quest for The Mountaintop grenade launcher, which has quickly become one of the best weapons in the game for PvP and PvE. Anyone who has earned The Mountaintop in Destiny 2 will know that the experience of earning the Crucible pinnacle weapon from Season 5 is perhaps one of the longest and most frustrating quest experiences in the game....

Data miners have been busy scrutinising yet more Destiny 2 game files, with their latest snooping apparently confirming the return of the Valentine’s Day-themed Crimson Days event for Bungie’s shared-world shooter. The files in question (via Game Rant) reveal new ornaments for a number of popular weapons, such as Sweet Business, Prometheus Lens, and Graviton Lance. Big deal right? Well, possibly, but considering these ornaments come with what looks suspiciously like the lovey-dovey icon used to mark the original Crimson Days event, fans are convinced the mode is making a comeback....

Just one day after revealing the cinematic trailer for season 2, Activision is now showing off brand new gameplay for Call of Duty: Vanguard & Warzone via a fresh trailer. The hack ‘n’ slash, demon-slaying franchise has been quite dormant for some time. Castle Crashers Remastered is coming to Xbox One on September 9, developer The Behemoth has revealed. The new, current-gen version promises a new mini-game called Back Off Barbarian, as well as 60fps gameplay, performance updates and improved textures. The re-release will cost $14.99 in the US, with European pricing yet to be announced. However, the game will be free until September 20 for Xbox Live Gold members who previously owned the original Xbox 360 release....

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be enhanced for both the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. In response to a probing question from Eurogamer, CD Projekt Red confirmed what the internet forums had been debating since Microsoft’s conference. ‘I can confirm that we are working both on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro patches for The Witcher 3. No extra details at this moment. More info is coming.’ This comes as not much of a surprise after the following slide was shown at the Microsoft conference last night, stating Xbox One games would receive a 4K boost....

It’s official! The return of the king is happening. Netflix announced through its official Twitter account that The Lord of the Rings trilogy will be back on the streaming platform on Feb. 1. The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King have been available multiple times in the past on Netflix but, apparently, never at the same time. Currently, we still don’t know whether this comeback will include only the standard editions, or the extended editions as well, as HBO Max does, and there’s also no word on the Hobbit trilogy....

New co-op shooter The Anacrusis has clocked up over 200,000 players since it was released on 13th January. While the game remains in Early Access and is also available as part of Xbox’s Game Preview programme for Xbox consoles, developer Stray Bombay confirmed the milestone in a recent update. It also revealed that, collectively, players have taken down over one billion aliens. Not bad for a week’s work, eh? Stray Bombay is the studio formed by Left 4 Dead and Portal writer, Chet Faliszek, and Riot Games designer Kimberley Voll....

Xbox has announced the list of games coming to its Xbox Game Pass service over the next couple of weeks, and subscribers will be getting quite a bumper collection for the first few weeks of December. A crowdfunded game has announced that it will now release as an Epic Games Store timed exclusive, and its backers are in an uproar. Outer Wilds is an indie game that has been in development for quite some time. Initially announced on the crowdfunding site fig.co, it reached its funding goal of $125,000 in September of 2015 and aimed for a release date of around the second half of 2016....
