Infinity Ward has done a good job sticking to their promise of weekly updates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, as was promised back when they announced Season One for the game. Though update 1.12 was just released, the team has already released an additional patch to fix some general issues that were lacking from that pretty substantial patch. Though the fan base for the game has been pretty vocal about their many disappointments with the online landscape of Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward at least seems to be trying their best to remedy most of those complaints....

Last Thursday, Capcom unveiled an impressive new trailer for Street Fighter 6 during Sony’s State of Play presentation. Although it revealed quite a bit about this new installment, such as the revamped fighting engine and an open-ended RPG-esque mode, it kept the character reveals to a minimum, only highlighting around four characters and briefly teasing a fifth one. Presumably, Capcom would have slowly trickled out character announcements before the game’s release....

The classic board game Catan is on its way to consoles in 2023. This isn’t the first time it’s been adapted into a video game, but this new version is set for release across Xbox and PlayStation consoles. It’s coming courtesy of Asmodee Entertainment and Dovetail Games, the former being responsible for a number of board game adaptations and the latter developing the likes of Train Sim World 2020. CD Projekt Red is now the most valuable video game company in Europe, dethroning Ubisoft with a market capitalisation of $8.13 billion (via VGC). Late last year, Bloomberg reported that the company got a return of 21,000 per cent over the previous decade—which is the biggest increase of any stock that was listed in the Stoxx Europe 600 Index. CD Projekt Red had a market capitalisation of $6.8 billion at that point in time, which placed it behind the market capitalisation of $8....

CD Projekt Red is confident that the development and release of Cyberpunk 2077 will not be affected by the pandemic (via VGC). The company’s president Adam KiciÅ„ski relayed an update earlier this week, explaining that its employees have been working from home since “mid-March.” The shift may have been in reaction to the coronavirus crisis, but CD Projekt Red assured its community that the development of Cyberpunk 2077 is proceeding as scheduled....

Constructor HD has been delayed until April, System 3 has confirmed. The game had previously been due to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC later this month. The new window was first revealed in a blog post on the publisher’s website which, according to entries on Wayback Machine, appears to have been updated with the new date at some point late last year. The post initially carried a January 29 release date....

So far Valve has graced Mac users with a slew of titles, including larger ones like Portal, Torchlight, Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. One of the missing classics is Counter-Strike: Source, but Valve has announced it will be coming to Mac next week through Steam. Due to E3, Valve stated that there will be no new releases for Mac this week - but there are plenty of the staff in the office working to get Counter-Strike: Source ready for Apple fans to play sometime next week....

Counterpart Season 2 Episode 1 Given the amount of chaos in the Counterpart season 1 finale, the season 2 premiere is admirably easy to follow, even given the new characters, altered circumstances, and enigmatic ending. Although we’ll apparently have to wait a little longer to revisit with Howard Alpha (and Baldwin for that matter), watching J.K. Simmons portray Howard Prime trying to imitate his meeker counterpart is incredibly impressive and entertaining....

DayZ has now been unbanned in Australia, as the planned restorative item based around cannabis has been scrapped. DayZ had been rejected for a physical release by the Australian Classification Board due to its portrayal of drug use, as a planned item was going to allow the player to heal damage by smoking a marijuana joint. DayZ was also pulled from all digital storefronts. It should be noted that medical cannabis was made legal in Australia as of 2016, but there are restrictions on its depiction in the media....

Underwater thriller Iron Fish has been delayed to Q1 2016, developers BeefJack and Dean Edwards have confirmed. The game had previously been due to release on PC in late 2015. It isn’t all bad news for the indie horror, though, with a playable demo set to be on show at EGX later this week offering players a hint at the horrors that lie deep below the ocean waves. “Players will investigate a mysterious shipwreck, searching for lost digital schematics that seem to point to some strange goings-on,” says BeefJack....

It was the movie that saw Sylvester Stallone frozen and thawed out to do battle with Wesley Snipes in a future city run by lilly-livered pacifists. It co-starred Sandra Bullock as a plucky cop sidekick, and British thesp Nigel Hawthorne, of all people, as one of the bad guys. It also floated the ongoing mystery of the three seashells. Demolition Man arrived in 1993, and with Cliffhanger, helped put Stallone back at the top of the box-office tree....

It’s a big day for Destiny 2 fans as the long awaited expansion Shadowkeep launches officially following a short two week delay. In addition to new content, the franchise makes its first evolution was the free to play version of Destiny 2 also goes live with an aim to further increase the player base. For those who don’t want to pay, Bungie is offering quite a bit of content including all of Year 1 and the ability to sample a generous portion of the year 2 material as well....

The past few months have seen Destiny 2 change a lot, with the introduction of its free-to-play version, New Light, and its latest expansion, Shadowkeep. More than those, it’s the increased focus on seasonal story and gameplay updates that have shaken up the Destiny 2 experience so far, and will shake it up even further in the seasons to come. Over the weekend, Rockstar faced a massive leak that saw numerous screenshots and videos taken from GTA 6’s development show up online with missing assets and features. On seeing this leaked footage, some corners of the internet decided to use it as ammunition to criticise Rockstar’s unfinished work. “If you knew how game development goes, you’d know that visuals are one of the first things done. This game is four years into planning and development....

Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 will be released before the end of March 2019, the publisher’s investors branch has confirmed. The adrenaline-pumping, demon-slicing actioner was announced at E3 last week, although at the time we only had a vague spring 2019 window. So, this narrows it down a little bit. This also ties in with what Capcom had previously confirmed before E3, revealing it would launch two major titles by the end of their current fiscal year, which wraps March 31, 2019....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been the subject of controversy for months, largely thanks to the violent content in the campaign. Unsurprisingly, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare ESRB rating is M for Mature, thanks to Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes, and Use of Drugs. The ESRB website has more details for the rating, which reveals some potentially disturbing scenes from the campaign that haven’t been talked about by the developers just yet....
