The hugely successful Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise will come to consoles, creator Scott Cawthon has told fans on Steam. Asked about the possibility of a console game, he replied: “Actually, yes! It will happen. I’m talking with a few companies who are interested in doing console remakes of the original games. :)” He later added that limitations of the Clickteam game engine means he can’t easily produce console versions himself, meaning he needs to go to third parties for help....

Today CD Projekt announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2022. We hear from chief financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz that the release of Cyberpunk Edgerunners on Netflix and the positive reception of the related update for the game “visibly” affected sales of Cyberpunk 2077, and the developers are “filled with pride” by the fact that it passed 20 million units sold. President and joint CEO Adam Kiciński also added that the share of recent positive reviews for the game exceeded 90%....

CD Projekt Red’s co-founder Marcin Iwinski has appeared in a newly released video speaking on behalf of the studio to apologise once more for the difficult launch of Cyberpunk 2077 and detailed their plans going forward to fix and improve the many technical issues blighting the game including its poor performance on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 that saw it removed from the PlayStation Store. The company say they are now focused on fixing bugs and crashes for the game going forward, and will be prioritising that over the planned free DLC content....

All of my main PC’s storage, games and backed up media would cover about a quarter of the storage on offer here, maybe a third at a push with everything I’ve got. Dividing the storage up into per-terabyte pricing reveals how solid this deal is - it works out to just shy of £16 per TB, which is even better value than on the 14TB WD Gold HDD that was available from Ebuyer a couple of weeks ago....

As promised, Days Gone is preparing to give players a New Game Plus mode in its latest update on September 13th. In addition, the PS4 game will be getting two new difficulty modes, a few new trophies, some new cosmetics, and potentially a weapon from a different Sony Bend franchise. Death Stranding, the action title developed by Kojima Productions that came out last year on the PS4, will be released for PC on June 2. The PC edition will come with a number of exclusive goodies but, according to the game’s Steam page, it will also have a feature that many gamers might not be too happy about. The PC version of Death Stranding will incorporate Denuvo digital rights management, or DRM, a third-party anti-tamper technology used by game publishers to prevent software from being pirated or used without a license....

Developer KoekeN Interactive has announced space-faring adventure Deliver Us Mars, coming soon to consoles and PC. The game will be the follow-up to 2019 adventure Deliver Us the Moon only with Frontier Foundry taking on publishing duties this time around. As the title suggests, we’ll head to the red planet for a new story set ten years after the first. We’re promised that fans of the original will enjoy the connections, but you won’t need to have played that one to follow the sequel....
