Destiny 2 is currently going through a major transition. Bungie, now independent, is reevaluating the direction it wants to take Destiny 2 and the Destiny franchise in. The first product of this new era of Destiny for Bungie will be the game’s Shadowkeep expansion, which launches October 1. Exactly how Shadowkeep will move Destiny 2 forward is only partially known, with Bungie promising to further elaborate. That elaboration appears to be coming from Destiny 2 director Luke Smith as soon as next week....

Destiny 2 will see a lot of its current meta leaving soon with the departure of Season 9, as a lot of popular weapons, like snipers, will be receiving a nerf once the game’s next season goes live. Earlier today on the Call of Duty YouTube channel, the world reveal trailer for Modern Warfare II was released. Not to be confused with the 2020 remake of the 2009 title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, this title is a follow-up to the 2019 reboot of the franchise. The trailer begins with an intense first-person view of someone jumping out of a helicopter while tied to a rope. While hanging upside-down they shoot out some tires on a truck and cut the rope to make a dramatic landing on the top of another moving vehicle....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 starts on February 11, and just with Season 1, it’s expected to bring some new maps to the game. What these maps are remain to be seen, but fans are expecting a mix of brand new ones and remakes of fan favorites. Activision Blizzard has revealed what players can expect in Season One of post-launch content for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone. Exploring beautiful beaches on an isolated island in the South Pacific sure sounds like a great video game. Thankfully, developer Out of the Blue agrees, and its debut indie title delivers exactly that. Call of the Sea was revealed earlier this year for PC and Xbox consoles, and the game now has a solid release date. The game arrives on December 8, and it’s looking as good as it did back in May....

CD Projekt has issued an official statement with regards to the rumours that are currently circulating about the levels of ‘morale within the studio’. This was made in response to a number of scathing comments about the working environment at CD Projekt Red, made on the company reviews website Glassdoor over the last couple of months. Today Bushiroad revealed a brand new idol DJ unit named “Abyssmare” fo its popular mobile rhythm game D4DJ Groovy Mix. The unit, which is defined as “foreign,” was revealed during the celebration for the 2nd anniversary of the Japanese version of the game (which launched on October 25, 2020, and was then followed last year by the global version in English). 505 Games and Kojima Productions have announced that Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be heading to PC this Spring. Originally released for PlayStation 5 back in September, the Director’s Cut enhances the 2019 “social strand” adventure starring Norman Reedus. This version will include many of the additional features from that, but also some PC-specific tweaks. These include “high frame rate, photo mode and ultra-wide monitor support”. There’s also a new machine-learning graphics technology from Intel called Xe Super Sampling (XeSS for short)....

With the Christmas and New Year holidays, Destiny 2 slowed down a bit. Although the Dawning event and Iron Banner have been active in the past few weeks, the game has hit the pause button when it comes to new content that is specific to the Season of Dawn like the Sundial activity and continuing the Saint-14 storyline.
