Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost has an obvious starting quest that leads players into the Haunted Forest and starts them on the path to collecting the Festival of the Lost masks and Braytech Werewolf auto rifle. But what is not obvious is an event quest that sends players around the game’s solar system and ends in unlocking the event Triumph called “A Brilliant Smile.” It is more commonly called the “Toothbrush quest” among players, because, at the end of the quest, Destiny 2 players receive a toothbrush item to go along with the Halloween and candy theme of Festival of the Lost....

Although Bungie has announced that Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy will bring back Trials of Osiris and new maps, armor, and weapons to support it, the developer has kept relatively quiet about the overall content offering. Fans don’t yet know if Season of the Worthy will include a PvE component, if there will be new gear outside of Trials, or what the overall thrust of the Season’s story will be....

While it was a review of the game’s Year 2, the observations Smith makes paint a picture of how the lessons Bungie learned this past year will influence the future of Destiny 2....

Destiny 2 players have discovered yet another glitch that could have serious consequences on the game moving forward. With the glitch active, players essentially turn immune to any environmental damage, allowing them to survive team wipe and unbeatable damage sources. The glitch combines some of the active glitches in Destiny 2 at the moment, namely the invincible glitch and the first person glitch. As a result, there is a fair amount of setup necessary to activate the immunity glitch and it won’t always work in most scenarios....

At long last, Bungie has shared an in-game look at the brand new Neptune destination for the upcoming Lightfall DLC for Destiny 2. In the trailer, we see Calus in his “spatial” form talking over the gameplay and our Guardians running through the colorful city of Neomuna. Throughout Destiny 2’s lifespan, and the franchise in general, we’ve never been able to explore the new colorful and lively city of Neomuna, which is one full display in the new trailer....

Destiny 2’s latest exotic quest is really too much for some players as the game’s gunsmith, Banshee-44, can’t help but beckon sadness. The Leviathan’s Breath Quest requires the forgetful NPC robot to tell players to get a certain bit of information from the deceased Cayde-6 - his death in itself was pretty sad too as it felt all too real - and it’s really bumming everyone out. Players who completed the Forsaken campaign and all of its quests will remember getting put through some stern tests by Banshee in order to recover and calibrate Cayde’s Ace of Spades hand cannon....

In the months leading up to the launch of Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep expansion, Bungie talked about changing up the structure of of the online multiplayer FPS. Specifically, game director Luke Smith talked about leaning further into Destiny 2 being an “evolving world.” In other words, having the Destiny 2 experience being an ever-changing game world where the story and content move forward month to month. With Shadowkeep’s launched, many Destiny 2 fans are only just realizing how literal Bungie was being....

Destruction AllStars developer Lucid Games has said that it is still committed to supporting the game, despite its underwhelming launch. In a tweet from the game’s official account, the developer said: “We’ve put so much work in to the game from feedback and talking with our players over the last few months.
