Quantic Dream has announced release dates for its three former PlayStation exclusives’ launch on PC for later this summer. The three games are set to get a staggered release over the next few months, with Heavy Rain slated to land first on June 24. That’ll be followed by the Ellen-Page-fronted Beyond: Two Souls on July 27 and last year’s Detroit: Become Human at some point ‘later this fall’. If you’re curious as to how well each game will run on your PC, the studio has also announced that a free demo will be available for each title a month before their respective release dates....

It looks like Codemasters is gearing up for a new project at it’s Cheshire Studio, previously responsible for DiRT 5. That’s according to a job advert spotted by Exputer for a Development Manager position at the studio. The job listing reads: “Under the guidance of the Development Director and with support from the production team, you will help handle production of the studios’ next key project – which promises to be the most ambitious and biggest game that Codemasters has made in over a decade!...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare launched in 2007, and the video game industry has never been the same. Call of Duty 4 changed the way developers approached first-person shooter games, providing widespread innovation and setting the bar incredibly high with its addictive, fast-paced multiplayer and blockbuster campaign. Modern Warfare 2 raised the bar even higher, with an even more intense campaign, some of the best multiplayer maps in series history, and the Spec Ops co-op mode....

We’re only a few days out from the latest Call of Duty game, and in the run up to CoD:WWII’s release Sledgehammer Games has released a trailer showing off the return of fan-favourite multiplayer map Carentan. As previously noted, this map returns from its last appearance in the original Call of Duty on PC and Call of Duty 2 on Xbox 360 and will be available from launch for Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition owners....

With last week’s announcement that Sony will be supporting cross-play compatibility for the PlayStation 4, everyone is eager to learn what upcoming games may be in store for cross-platform play. Naturally, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – one of the next major titles to be released – is one of the games that players are hoping supports cross-console play. While Activision has not confirmed anything official yet, they did provide a statement to IGN in response to the community outreach, hinting that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 cross-play might actually happen....

The Call of Duty League’s Launch Weekend was full of upsets, surprises, and high intensity action that gamers have come to expect from Activision Blizzard. In spite of the overwhelming success of Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the game will not be getting a sequel after all. The game is a unique blend of DCCG and RPG, but another one got a resounding “no” from community manager Pawel Burza and Gwent game director Jason Slama in a YouTube Q&A session, to the disappointment of many fans. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is a spin-off of The Witcher video game franchise that was supposed to be a single-player campaign for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, but the company decided to make it a standalone after all....

China has been censoring the blood in Chainsaw Man, but their efforts to hide the series’ gore are creating a whole new slew of issues. Since the series’ initial release, certain scenes have been censored before episodes could be aired in China. More often than not, this censorship comes through the removing of color from blood splatters, bloodstains and other large amounts of red liquid that would otherwise expose the citizens of the country to gore....

Modern Warfare 2 is simply the most successful COD game made in the franchise. Games like COD works on huge servers that require constant monitoring. We just got our first look at how Command & Conquer Remastered is shaping up, and it’s lookin’ pretty sweet. Last November, Electronic Arts announced that they were going to do something that fans had been begging them to do for years. Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert were going to be remastered. To do it, EA would partner with a bunch of old Westwood studio developers over at Petroglyph Games, the indie studio that sprung up following the death of Westwood way back in 2003....

Survival horror fans are buzzing over what’s claimed to be leaked concept art from a new unannounced Silent Hill game. The images were tweeted out by AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem last night (as spotted by Xbox Achievements). A noted industry insider, he’s had a good track record with rumours in the past. These have included, among others, accurate leaks on what would become Resident Evil Village back in 2020. Said images were soon stricken down by a copyright claim by Konami just hours later, but not before the images made their way to the Silent Hill subreddit....

Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon are reuniting for a third season of acclaimed comedy series The Trip, Sky Atlantic has announced. From Michael Winterbottom for Revolution Films, Sky Atlantic has snapped up the third series of the gastronomic comedy. The Trip to Spain sees fictionalised versions of Coogan and Brydon’s characters “back on their culinary quest as they head off on a road trip from the North Atlantic to the Mediterranean coast for a fresh helping of gastronomic adventures”....

Daredevil Season 3 Episode 8 Ooh, we can finally talk about the Sister Maggie thing that I’ve been trying to avoid mentioning for weeks in case it came up, and that’s that she’s Matt’s biological mother. This was something skirted around during Frank Miller’s run on Daredevil – she first appeared in Daredevil #229 (1986) – but which Matt didn’t confirm for real until Kevin Smith’s (excellent) Guardian Devil storyline more than a decade later....

EA Motive will be turning down the lights and cranking up the volume for another look at its still-early-in-development remake of Visceral Games’ much-love sci-fi horror classic Dead Space in a new developer livestream airing on Friday, 11th March. This will, of course, be our second opportunity to scrutinise EA Motive’s remake; following its unveiling last July, the developer shared a very early look at its progress as part of an “unorthodox” livestream one month later, focussing on enhancements being made to the original’s moody environments, zero-g traversal, and dismemberment and damage systems....

A Fallout 76 player has created a room for other wastelanders to enjoy and placed within it what for many people is one of the most terrifying enemies both in the game and real life. In a Reddit post, the devious Fallout 76 player describes how they built a school complete with lockers, desks, bookshelves, and a blackboard that says portentously, “Page 9 math homework due on Monday.” In the back of the schoolroom is another door with a sign designating the next area as the tutoring room, but any player unfortunate enough to investigate this new room soon discovers that the school’s tutoring program can be pretty harsh....
