Now in its third year, Destiny 2 has evolved quite a bit since it first launched as guardians continued to become stronger and more powerful. For the game designers, the power creep started to become an issue, especially as players began to find methods to essentially one shot major enemies like Riven. Activision has officially revealed the trailer for the highly anticipated co-operative Zombies mode for Call of Duty: WWII, promising ‘a dark vision of undead horror’. Titled Nazi Zombies, Call of Duty: WWII developer Sledgehammer Games has said that this will be ‘unlike anything before’. Nazi Zombies is set in the Bavarian village of Mittelburg, which may look familiar to those of you who’ve played the zombie co-op mode in previous Call of Duty games....

Capcom is busy working on Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 remake right now, but senior producer Jun Takeuchi has said it’s also got a surprise title in the works that will turn heads. Speaking with Famitsu magazine (translated by ResetEra, via PST), Takeuchi-san, who has worked on the likes of Resi 2 and Lost Planet, mentioned the project while talking about Capcom increasing its work force to juggle multiple triple-A titles....

Speaking to IGN at E3, developer Vicarious Visions explained that the reason Coco Bandicoot is now playable in the first two Crash games in the upcoming N. Sane Trilogy is time travel. ‘Time travel solves everything,’ Kara Massie, producer on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy said. ‘So, [we have] the save/load screen. She’s hacking in with her pink laptop and you see shots of the first two games [appear].’ Coco, who wasn’t playable in the original Crash Bandicoot or Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, can now transport between any of the games thanks to a ‘similar interaction point in all three hubs of all three games,’ as Massie puts it....

Code Vein is a new Souls-like action RPG from Bandai Namco, replete with vertical level design and challenging combat. There are many good Souls-like games out there, but Code Vein does an especially uncanny job of replicating the dense, interlinked level design and snappy, precise combat of games made by FromSoftware. One of the Souls-like features that Code Vein replicates so well is varied, interesting, and very tough bossfights. The Invading Executioner is one of these difficult bosses, and presents a unique challenge from other foes that players have faced up to this point in the game....

Codemasters is working on developing “some new and exciting features” for next year’s F1 2016, the studio has teased, “including a couple of must-haves which we know are important to you”. Electronic Arts has announced that it is ‘exploring’ the possibility of remastering the earlier Command & Conquer games for the franchise’s 25th anniversary in 2020. That’s according to producer Jim Vessella, who told the Command & Conquer subreddit that the publisher is fully aware that fans want to see the series return to PC, following the announcement of mobile game Command & Conquer: Rivals earlier this year. Yeah, the less said about Rivals, the better; it didn’t exactly go down well with fans....

One of the founders of Rockstar Games will leave after over two decades with the company. As part of a recent filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (reported by StreetInsider), Take-Two Interactive confirmed Dan Houser will make his leave on March 11. Why is Dan Houser leaving the company? In an official statement as part of the filing, Take-Two noted the following: Houser worked alongside his brother Sam to create Rockstar Games back in the late ’90s....

Nowadays a cartoon about Mortal Kombat would seem ridiculous. The game is based on the craziest characters imaginable going at each other with pseudo martial arts techniques and firing any manner of projectiles at each other. Putting that in a setting meant for children would be nearly impossible. But in the 90s, it seemed perfectly reasonable for a studio to buy the rights to a Mortal Kombat cartoon from Midway in order to sell this to grade schoolers....

Dark Souls 3 will have fewer locations than its predecessor, but they will be larger in size, according to the game’s director Hidetaka Miyazaki. In an interview with Digital Spy, Miyazaki explained the change in map scale. “The number of the areas will be lesser compared to Dark Souls 2. However, the size of each map will be bigger,” he said. “Honestly speaking, doing exploration of each map within Dark Souls 3 is really, really fun, so please wait for further updates....

Invader Games has announced that Daymare: 1998 will launch on PC this summer, with a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version will arrive ‘soon after.’ No release date has been confirmed yet. Daymare will be published by Destructive Creations and All In! Games, and takes the form of a third-person horror game featuring a diverse range of enemy models, ‘minutely-detailed lifelike animations, attacks, and dismemberment.’ It’s also a massive 90s love letter, featuring tons of references to that era and classic survival horror staples such as backtracking, limited ammo, and save points....
