Developer Three Fields Entertainment has super-glued an April 9 release date to Dangerous Driving, its self-described spiritual successor to Burnout. The racer is the brainchild of Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry, the co-founders of Burnout developer Criterion Games. From the look of things, the PC version of Dangerous Driving will be available exclusively through the Epic Games Store, as Steam isn’t mentioned at all in the press release. Dangerous Driving plucks much of its inspiration from Burnout as you’d expect, and includes 30 courses spread across seven locations....

Only a sci-fi time-traveling comedy would have the unique idea of mixing Danny Trejo (Machete) and Joel McHale (Community). The film, called Tim Travers & The Time Traveler’s Paradox, is set to feature both actors in supporting roles and will be directed by Stimson Snead, who already wrote and directed a short film version of this story. According to Deadline, the movie tells the story of Tim Travers, a broke narcissistic genius scientist who seeks to solve the paradox of what happens to your past self when a future version travels backward in time....

Sony has seen fit to grace the PC with yet another former PlayStation exclusive. Much like with Horizon Zero Dawn, it’s still not exactly bringing out the big guns. Sony is flexing more of its marketing muscle for Days Gone this week, releasing a moody TV ad for the upcoming Bend Studio-developed action-horror title. This time around it’s not in-game footage we’re looking at, but rather, a cinematic where protagonist Deacon St. John is recovering from what appears to be a massive ruck. Bodies are strewn about the place, and our biker hero is down to his last round. Not a great situation, particularly when a horde of Freakers start encroaching on his position....

Capcom has announced that Dead Rising 4 will be coming to PlayStation 4 on December 5, a year after Microsoft had published the timed-exclusive on Xbox One and PC. Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package will be classed as a special edition of the game, featuring the main campaign, all previously released content and a Capcom Heroes Bonus mode. Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package will let players dive into the main game, in addition to gaining instant access to all of the previously released content....

It looks like Dead Space Remake will have an alternate ending. Whilst not formally confirmed by EA nor the development team at Motive, according to the game’s lightly spoilery trophy list - which have recently gone up on True Trophies (thanks, TheGamer) - you can unlock a trophy called “Reunion”, an achievement that pops when you “see the alternative ending on any difficulty mode”. Unsurprisingly, we’re not told anything else about the alternate ending or what it entails, but it should be exciting news for OG Dead Space fans who may recall that no such achievement was available in the original game....

Deadpool continues to do great business at the box office in both the US and the rest of the world, with its global total set to smash through $500 million today. After its second week the comic-book movie had earned $235.4 million in the US – earning $55 on its second weekend – helping the movie to a global total of $491.7 million. Variety estimates $500 million will be reached once Monday’s figures are released....

Bungie has confirmed plans to hold a Cross-Play beta to allow players from all formats to play Destiny 2 together for two days next week. As detailed in the latest This Week at Bungie Blog, a specific Vanguard Strikes Cross Play Beta playlist will go live between May 25 and May 27, and will see Guardians matchmade across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and Stadia. The special PvE playlist will allow folks to team up and fight waves of Darkness as the studio collects data and tests the backend systems to ensure they’re working....
