Indie developers with games published by Team17 have reacted in fury to yesterday’s announcement of Worms collectible NFTs. Ghost Town Games, developer of Overcooked, one of Team17’s most popular titles, released a statement via Twitter this afternoon saying it did not support NFTs due to their “environmental and social cost”. Aggro Crab, developer of Team17-published roguelike Going Under, went further. “We believe NFTs cannot be environmentally friendly, or useful, and really are just an overall fucking grift,” it wrote, adding that it would never work with Team17 again....

Capcom has announced that Devil May Cry 5 will launch on March 8, 2019 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. The release date for the stylish actioner as confirmed at the end of a new trailer, which offers a gander at Nero and Dante getting hack and slashy with some demonic hordes. Dante even uses his bike in combat, which transforms into a massive weapon of some description. Yep, this is definitely a Devil May Cry game....

To the chagrin of most players, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare ended up with skill-based matchmaking (SBMM). For the most part, the Modern Warfare community has put up with it, but now more than ever, fans are calling for Infinity Ward to make changes to the way matchmaking is carried out. The London weekend of the Call of Duty League enjoyed a little bit of an uptick in viewership as the weekend progressed and crescendoed with 111K viewers during the finals match between the Dallas Empire and Chicago Huntsmen. The peak viewership showed a growth of just under 9K more viewers than the opening weekend, a good sign of the appeal and possible growth of the league as the season moves forward....

Capcom might be about to announce more Devil May Cry at this year’s Gamescom. Alright, we’re a little confused. Last April, Devil May Cry 5 producer Matthew Walker said that development on the game had finished and that no new DLC would be released. That seemed weird considering DMC5 is one of the hottest games Capcom has, moving 2 million units within the first two weeks of release last March....

Carrion, the game where you play a blob of murderous flesh, now has a release date. Revealed during the Devolver Direct livestream today, Carrion slides its putrid mess onto PC on July 23. Indeed, we’re only weeks away from the human harvest. It’s gon’ be good. Usually, these Devolver shows leave us with a lot more questions than anything, but not with the new Carrion trailer. Concept art for a cancelled Batman: Arkham Knight sequel has apparently leaked to 4chan this week. Along with the images, the leaker claims that game was planned to feature Damien Wayne picking up the mantle of Batman. It’s been a suspiciously long time since there was any update from either Rocksteady of WB Montreal, the two studios that have previously worked on the Arkham franchise, so if this concept art is in fact from a cancelled title that would answer a lot of questions....
