At BlizzCon 2018, fans reacted in an overwhelmingly negative manner to the announcement of Diablo Immortal. While there were several contributing factors to explain that reaction, the recent announcement of a full-fledged Path of Exile Mobile game that sacrifices none of the PC version’s complexity makes it clear that Diablo 3 could easily be a mobile port, and would be a far better option than Diablo Immortal. The announcement trailer for Path of Exile Mobile, shown below, jabs — without much subtlety — at how the developers wanted to make a game with zero compromise, which is to say, a great game that just so happened to be played on a phone....

Diablo 4 might have just been confirmed by an ad in a German magazine. The news comes from the Diablo subreddit courtesy of a post by user eskay2001. An ad in German game magazine GameStar is for an official Blizzard art book with “over 500 artworks from Diablo, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, and Diablo 4.” At least, according to their translation. So, Diablo 4 confirmed? Not so fast. We know that Blizzard was working on Diablo 4 as early as the Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo 3....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players are asking Infinity Ward to make changes to the game’s leaderboard feature. As it stands right now, the in-game leaderboard doesn’t display all of the relevant stats a player wants to see for their selected game mode. For example, players running matches in the Domination game mode can’t see how many captures they’ve made while they’re playing the game. Instead, players must wait until the results-screen leaderboard, which doesn’t appear until the match is already over....

The cast of Netflix’s upcoming Castlevania series has been announced by producer Adi Shankar and the man who will play Dracula in the show, Graham McTavish. All was revealed in the video you can see in full below, as reported by Polygon. Richard Armitage (Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit trilogy) will portray Trevor Belmont, while Dr. Gaius Baltar from Battlestar Galactica, actor James Callis, will play Alucard. Emily Swallow from The Mentalist will be playing Lisa Tepes on the show, Orphan Black’s Matt Frewer will play someone called The Bishop, Alejandro Reynoso will voice Sypha Belnades, and Tony Amendola will also be on Castlevania as The Elder....

UPDATE 16/12/22: CD Projekt has provided an update on the technical issues seen by some players in The Witcher 3’s “Next-Gen” update. In a fresh post, the developer said it was “currently investigating” PC game crashes and low ray-tracing performance on Intel GPUs, as well as an issue where players who owned the game on Origin were unable to update it. The PS4 version of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare will run at twice the framerate of the Xbox One version, Torn Banner Studios has confirmed. As such, the game will be capped at 60fps on PS4 and 30fps on Xbox One. Both versions will render at 1080p. Dead Space creative director Ben Wanat has shared a few hair-raising details on what the now-shuttered Visceral Games had in mind for a fourth entry in the limb-dismembering horror franchise.
