The end is nigh in Call of Duty Warzone Season 5. The newest season has brought a bunch of changes to the core gameplay and a bevy of new cosmetics pitting good against evil as CoD gears up for the next entry, Modern Warfare 2. There are many new features and bug fixes added in the new mid-season updates of COD Warzone. While the new mid-season update brought several bug fixes it also added another bug to the game. Devolver Digital Direct kicked off with a bang this year. In the midst of a skit making parody of gaming marketing, the first trailer showcased was a release trailer for Cult of the Lamb. The game previously had a reveal trailer in August 2021, and has been picking up steam ever since. Developed by Massive Monster, and of course published by Devolver, Cult of the Lamb is a weirdly cute game centered around a lamb who was saved by a mysterious figure right before execution....

Devolver Digital and Massive Monster have dropped a new trailer for upcoming rougue-lite Cult of the Lamb. The game puts you in the wooly fleece of a possessed lamb, who’s saved from death by a mysterious stranger. Naturally, the only way to repay this debt is by forming a cult of cutesy animals in the stranger’s name. To form this cult, you’ll venture out into a cute, cartoonish land and twisting it to serve your dark master....

It’s been six months since the release of Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.5 update - the milestone patch that finally added native support for current generation consoles. CD Projekt RED has not been idle though, the new 1.6 ‘Edgerunners’ update arrived last week, tying in with the new anime. A raft of new content features are added, but the focus of this piece is on a brand-new Xbox Series S performance mode, along with optimisations to the 30fps ray tracing mode on PS5 and Series X, where long-standing complaints about high input lag are finally addressed....

Dark murder mystery adventure Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise looks set to be headed to the PC following its launch last year on Nintendo Switch. According to the latest annual report from the game’s publisher’s parent company Thunderful Games (as spotted by Gematsu) the game will apparently be recieving a PC version that will be launching exclusively on Steam which is aiming for release at some time in 2021....

We’ve seen pop culture dabble with time loops as a theme. Hollywood has given us Groundhog Day, Edge of Tomorrow, Looper, and many other flicks. Meanwhile, the games industry has had certain offerings, including Outer Wilds, the recently released 12 Minutes, and the upcoming Lemnis Gate. In the same vein, players will get a chance to try out Deathloop, which is set to release soon. The game is made by none other than Arkane Studios, the company behind the Dishonored series....

A new gameplay trailer has dropped for multiplayer espionage game Deceive Inc. This spy-themed offering was first revealed back in March and throws a bunch of players as rival espionage agents into one of several 60’s spy-themed locations. Once there, they’ll have an objective to meet, like snatching a briefcase or nabbing some vital intel. Players will have to do so, however, before their fellow players and then get out with their loot before they can be stopped by the AI or their rivals....

If you’ve been paying attention to the Epic Games Store this week, you’ll know by now that it’s giving away a new free game every 24 hours until we hit the new year. Today is the fourth day of the “15 days of free games in December” event or whatever the Epic Games Store is calling it. Today’s offering is Defense Grid: The Awakening, so claim it now before you forget....

In the two weeks since Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s Garden of Salvation raid was first beaten, the race has been on to find more and more impressive ways to defeat its challenging final boss. First it was defeated by a team of only three players, then only two players. But this latest feat might just take the cake, because while it was achieved by a full six-player fireteam, they beat the boss without using a single firearm....

Detroit: Become Human, from developer Quantic Dream, has just surpassed 5 million units sold. The interactive narrative adventure game released on Steam in June, hitting the sales milestone exactly one month later. It launched alongside Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, which were all previously exclusive to PlayStation. Steam sales figures on those particular titles are unknown at this stage. In February, Quantic Dream announced that it had become a fully independent studio on its 23rd anniversary....

The new version of Grand Theft Auto 5 for PlayStation 5 still hasn’t shown up on the PSN webstore, users have spotted. It is similarly unlisted via the PS4 store, meaning you need access to a PS5 to take advantage of its currently-discounted price. Eurogamer readers who pointed this out say this differs from how PS4 owners can use the webstore to buy other PS5 titles or redeem PS5-exclusive PS Plus titles and add them to their library....

Call of Duty players have found an easy way to unlock the M13B Assault Rifle, which is controversially locked behind a challenge that can only be completed in the new DMZ game mode. Even more controversial is the fact that extracting the weapon only unlocks it for the player who picked it up instead of the entire squad. This means your squad will have to make repeated trips back to unlock it for everyone....

Capcom has further acknowledged the cyber attack on the company, that took place earlier this month. The Japanese developer initially put out a statement saying it was aware of attack, assuring fans that no customer information was breached. Now, we get a little more detail on what exactly was taken and what else was revealed. The sad news is that customer information might have been accessed, although payment information is definitely safe....

Catherine Full Body is a weird puzzle platformer that asks the player intense moral questions as they navigate a character through what’s described by the game as a love square. As Vincent dives further into the nightmare world and his real-world similarly becomes a nightmare, the player must decide which relationships to pursue and which to discard. There are multiple endings depending on how the player handles these social interactions and each has interesting, and some very disturbing, developments for Vincent and the direction his life takes....

Colossal Order’s superb city builder is about to get another expansion called Cities Skylines Parklife and as you’d expect the new content us all about parks. The expansion adds to the game’s rudimentary parks by giving players the opportunity to create amusement parks, nature reserves, city parks and zoos. This also means that park districts can be created with new city services such as Park Maintenance to keep them clean and tidy, and three new city policies and eight new park policies are being added....
