CD Projekt Red has announced that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades for both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 are delayed into next year. In a statement posted to Twitter, the studio broke the news. “Based on recommendations supplied by teams supervising the development of both games, we decided to postpone their releases until 2022. Our current target for Cyberpunk 2077 is the first quarter of 2022, and second quarter of 2022 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt....

As excitement grows over the immenent release of Cyberpunk 2077 next week, CD Projekt RED has moved to dissasuade those who may be lucky enough to get the game earlier than release from posting spoilers online. In a tweet from the game’s official account, the studio said “Our ambition is for gamers all across the world to have the same —spoiler free— experience at the time the game releases” and have asked that players do not stream, post Let’s Plays or similar video content from the game before December 9 at 11am UK time....

This year’s first Steam Next Fest event arrives next week, and a whole host of playable demos will come along with it. One of these Steam Next Fest demos will give players a sneak peek into the harrowing world of Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle, a new horror game developed by Invader Studios. Announced back in May of last year, it’s advertised as a prequel to the 2019 horror game Daymare: 1998. Fans of that title will soon get the opportunity to see how Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle sets itself apart, but in the meantime, they can watch the new teaser trailer that just dropped....

Zombie survival sandbox DayZ is finally out on the PlayStation 4 a whopping five years after first being confirmed, developer Bohemia Interactive has announced. The game, which has been on sale in various forms of early access on PC since 2013 before launching into 1.0 on PC last year, was first announced to be heading to consoles back in 2015, although back then the first prototype wasn’t expected until 2016. It took until 2018 before it appeared on Xbox One, but there was no sign of the PlayStation 4 version until now....

Developer Behaviour Interactive has released a new update for Dead by Daylight, introducing some pretty big changes into the game. For a start, there is a new progression system. This, apparently, allows for easier experimentation and for hopping between character builds. Also, the developer has made changes to the perks, with thirty-nine of them reworked in different ways. Sources speaking to VGC have claimed that Ken Imaizumi, producer of the Metal Gear Solid series, has departed Kojima Productions. Neither Kojima Productions nor Imaizumi supplied comments when VGC reached out, so we must take this report with a pinch of salt. The renowned video game designer, writer, and game producer has been working with Kojima Productions for almost two decades. Only two weeks remain before Destiny 2: Shadowkeep finally releases and gets the game’s third year underway. Anticipation is high, and to raise it even higher, Bungie released a new video documentary teasing all of the new content that’s about to drop. The ten-minute “ViDoc” touches upon much of what Bungie has already teased regarding Shadowkeep in recent months, like the changes being made to Destiny 2’s weapon mods, but it also opens up a little more on how the studio is approaching seasonal storytelling going into the expansion....
