Square Enix has released a new ‘101 Trailer’ for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The trailer is narrated by Adam Jensen, counter-terrorism agent of Task Force 29, and takes the form of a short investigation. Look out for brand new footage of Jensen’s apartment and new locations in Europe, including Prague. Fans will also learn more about Jensen’s improved augmentations, enhancing his infiltration, combat and hacking capabilities. Those hoping to go into the game unspoiled should be aware that the trailer does feature some “additional insights into the storyline” as well as the reveal of some new and old acquaintances....

Devil May Cry 5 has now sold over 6m copies. The news comes three and a half years after its initial release across PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2019. Since then it was re-released as Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in November 2020. Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific has become known for all its bugs and glitches. Some are minor issues, while others are game breaking. One of the most well-known bugs that the developers have yet to squash once and for all is the demon gun glitch. The weapon glitch causes your gun textures to change to spiky blocks which can make the weapon difficult to use. Similarly, if you encounter an enemy that has the demon gun glitch, it can be just as hard to take them out, as the bugged textures cover the operator....

Sledgehammer has given an insight into what will be included in the Call of Duty: WWII private multiplayer beta, as well as what won’t be included, in a detailed blog post. It’s not long now until the multiplayer beta begins next week on PlayStation 4 for those who’ve pre-ordered the game. The beta will grant access to three multiplayer maps, four game modes and the opportunity to try out different classes....

Call of Duty 2020 might be titled ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’ and provide a campaign spanning the entire 40 years of the Cold War, according to a leak posted by YouTuber TheLongSensation. In May, it was reported that ‘tensions’ at Activision’s studios Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games caused the two to be reassigned as support studios for Call of Duty 2020. Treyarch then became the lead developer for the game instead, working on what was rumoured to be Black Ops 5....

Campo Santo’s In the Valley of Gods will be “on hold” for the foreseeable future, even though Half-Life: Alyx is done and dusted (via PCGamesN). In 2018, Campo Santo was acquired by Valve, and this raised eyebrows with regard to the development of the (recently revealed) In the Valley of Gods. Back then, we didn’t know Valve had Half-Life: Alyx waiting in the wings, and the company hadn’t released an entirely new game since Alien Swarm in 2010....

Matt Thorson has announced that Celeste drummed up over 500,000 copies sold throughout 2018. Writing on Twitter, he also revealed that a bunch of ‘farewell’ levels are currently in the pipeline, and should be released early this year. More info will be announced soon. Celeste was released in January 2018 and it’s fair to say that Colm thought it was definitely worth a punt. We’re working on some farewell Celeste levels, which should be ready in early 2019....

I’ve been around long enough that when I see “Colonial Marines” and “Aliens” in the same sentence, I feel a bit anxious.
