The strand system is the selling point of Death Stranding, and Hideo Kojima has likened this to Into the Spider-Verse. ‘Miles thinks he is the only Spider-Man, then different characters from different alternate dimensions also become Spider-Man and meet up, all of a sudden Miles is not alone!...

Publisher Playtonic Friends has announced that platforming adventure Demon Turf will launch on November 4. The game promises a twist on the traditional Mario 64 formula by using 2D sprites in a 3D world. You’ll play the role of Beebz, a 1000 year old demon who is seeking to take over the demon world. To do so, she’ll have to fight through various demon hordes to claim their turf, before taking on the Demon King himself....

Capcom has revealed during the latest issue of Famitsu magazine (via Siliconera) that the developer is pushing for photorealism in upcoming stylish actioner Devil May Cry 5. A number of key developers on the upcoming hack-’n-slash sequel told the publication that they are aiming for a consistent 60fps for Devil May Cry 5, and is using 3D scanning for people and clothing in order to help achieve its goal for a more realistic visual presentation....

Capcom has registered a trademark for the long-rumoured Devil May Cry 5, indicating the demon-slaying sequel may be officially unveiled at E3 next week. The domain devilmaycry5.com was registered on May 17 under the Onamae domain registrar, which may not mean anything at first glance, but is actually the registrar that Capcom used for the likes of Monster Hunter World and Resident Evil 7. Oddly enough, domains for devilmaycry6.com, devilmaycry8.com, and devilmaycry9....

Nintendo Switch owners look set to receive a port of Blizzard Entertainment’s critically acclaimed Diablo III, according to a Twitter teaser posted by the World of Warcraft developer. While nothing official has been set in stone, the video, which features a Diablo light switched (get it?) on and off, pretty much speaks for itself. The safe bet here is that a Diablo III port is on the cards, though hopefully we’ll hear something concrete soon enough....

We hope everyone’s enjoying their Halloween celebration so far. Also, it looks like we’re in for either a trick or a treat. That’s because, apparently, the second expansion for Civilization VI has just leaked. The title of this expansion? Vesuvius. Yes, we were looking for a nifty image that would be fitting, and so we found one from the movie Pompeii, which starred Roman Jon Snow. Anyway, the leak came from an anonymous user in 4chan and has since been reposted on a Reddit thread from user Duke_Bilgewater....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone have had their Season Six content drop, and as ever it adds a bunch of new content for seasoned pros and latecomers alike to the hugely popular shooter. Map-wise, a new underground subway system is now available on the Warzone map, allowing players to quickly traverse the map between stations; but not to worry, it won’t whisk you and your team off to any destination outside the safe zone, nor will it move if there’s fighting on board the cars....

Activision has revealed the latest cosmetic packs for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in a blog post on its website. Now that the game is in Season 1, Infinity Ward is beginning to ramp up the content drop rate for Modern Warfare. The first week of Season 1 introduced a battle pass, introduced the classic Modern Warfare map Crash, and added new game modes to both the multiplayer and Spec Ops....

Infinity Ward has been pretty busy trying to keep Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s players happy. That has proven to be a challenge going into its newest season, which began on Tuesday, with many feeling that the new additions to Season 2, like its guns, aren’t as good as Season 1’s. That said, the latest update has improved other things, some of which might fly under the radar for most players....

Call of Duty: Vanguard Season Three introduced new content with the Mayhem map, a trophy system and more. Meanwhile, Operation Monarch has kicked off in Warzone Pacific, which has seen King Kong and Godzilla join Caldera. Through the season, Sledgehammer has put out patches to fix various issues in multiplayer. Just two days after the last update made changes to low-caliber magazines, another patch has arrived. The latest Vanguard patch makes stability fixes associated with server disconnects, weapons, game modes, and more....

YouTube sensation TheseKnivesOnly has managed to hit the max rank on Call of Duty: WWII without even firing a single weapon. As you might have twigged from his name, the streamer instead achieved the milestone using only knives and other assorted melee tools in the acclaimed Nazi shooter. TheseKnivesOnly raked in more than 32,000 kills to hit the milestone, and during this time only utilised the Recon Aircraft and Counter Reacon scorestreaks....

Capital Wasteland is a Fallout 4 mod that remakes Fallout 3 in the new game engine. Work on it stopped back in 2018 over issues to voice acting and copyrights. However, a small group of people continued the work, resuming mod development early this year. Now Capital Wasteland has a new trailer. Officially, the trailer is showing off feral ghouls, the types of humans who survived massive exposure to radiation but lost their minds....

Celeste is one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2018. Since its release in January, Celeste has only been available for download. That is going to change on Tuesday, January 1st. Limited Run Games announced recently that it will be releasing physical copies of the game for Nintendo Switch and PS4. In addition to this, Limited Run has announced that Celeste will be receiving a physical Collector’s Edition. As seen in the picture, the Switch Collector’s Edition will retail for $79....

Those who have completed all the C-Sides in Celeste will now have something extra to do. The game has been patched with a new gameplay update. After successfully beating the challenging C-Side levels, players will unlock “Variants Mode.” Variants Mode is described in the Patch Notes as “A collection of special options to change the rules of the game.” Although not specifically stated in the notes, the Variants include things like making Madeline invisible, or removing grabbing....

If you can’t get enough of ARPGs and great pixel art, here’s just the thing for you. Publisher 11 bit studios and developer Dead Mage have just announced that Children of Morta will release on Sept. 3 for PC. The announcement comes with a brand new release date trailer that shows more of the game’s great pixel art. It also features a narrator who shares some thoughts on the game’s themes of family....

Some classic Star Trek games are beaming down to GOG, giving fans a great way to revisit some oldies (but goodies). In celebration of Star Trek‘s 55th anniversary, GOG and Activision have teamed up to bring these games to the PC, updating them to work on modern devices. GOG now has six Star Trek games, spanning different genres such as strategy or first-person shooters. The games were added to run smoothly on Windows 10, and some even have a working LAN multiplayer system....

As if we weren’t already excited enough for the Final Fantasy VII remake, these side-by-side comparisons to the original have hyped us up for its release even more. Remakes and remasters are currently the order of the day. Disney has jumped on that bandwagon to the nth degree via its various live-action remakes. The gaming industry is no stranger to it either. Re-released, remastered versions of the original Crash Bandicoot and Spyro trilogies have performed incredibly well - so well that a Crash Team Racing remaster is dropping this June....
