Activision has exhumed a decomposing new trailer for Call of Duty: WW2’s upcoming Nazi Zombies DLC, The Darkest Shore. CD Projekt Red has announced a full remake of the first Witcher game is in production. Earlier this month, the developer unveiled its forthcoming plans, including a Witcher project called Canis Majoris by a third-party. Turns out that’s a remake of the first Witcher game, developed by Fool’s Theory with supervision by CD Projekt Red. Playwing announced the release of the PS5 and PS4 ports of its free-to-play multiplayer dragon dogfighting game Century: Age of Ashes has been delayed. This comes right before the previously-announced release date, which was… tomorrow, July 19. A new release date has not been provided, but the wait shouldn’t be excessively long, since the game will still land on PlayStation in the summer of 2022. The press release mentioned that passing certification on PlayStation right off the back of the Xbox One release and the launch of Season 1 “A Shadow Over Skeld” is a “tough challenge” so the developers have taken the decision to take a little more time to meet their quality standards....

Chains of Fury is an ode to shooter games from the ‘90s done up in a unique comic book style. First came cel-shading, which aimed to simplify graphics with bold colors in dynamic lighting. Those hoping to pick up a cheaper version of Oculus Rift later down the line – perhaps with fewer accessories, should think again. Responding during last night’s Oculus Rift Reddit AMA, founder and creator Palmer Luckey said you shouldn’t expect to see a cheaper Rift SKU in the hardware’s first generation. “Very unlikely for the first generation of Rift,” said Luckey. “A standardized system is in the best interest in developers trying to reach the widest audience, and we cannot significantly reduce the cost without dramatically reducing quality....

Paradox Interactive has released a free content update for its hit city-builder Cities Skylines introducing a variety of free European-themed DLC. Available to download from today, the free update packs in three new European-themed maps and over 50 European-style buildings, along with a range of additional new features, including tunnels and the option to import custom vehicles into the game’s Asset Editor. “Cities: Skylines will continue to follow the traditions set by other recent Paradox releases such as Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV of paid expansions combined with large updates of free content ensuring that all players, whether they choose to purchase the expansions or not, will have plenty of new features to look forward to,” said Paradox brand manager Jakob Munthe....

Company of Heroes 2: The British Forces, an all-new standalone multiplayer army pack, will launch September 3 priced £9.99, Relic and SEGA have announced. The British Forces features 15 new units, six new commanders with unique abilities, and eight new multiplayer maps portraying historic battlefield locations of World War II. Control is well-known for its annoying boss fights and AWE is no different. Control AWE‘s boss, Dr. Emil Hartman, is one of the most obnoxious battles in the whole game. I’m always onboard for Metroid-likes with hand-drawn characters. Curse of the Sea Rats is releasing next year, and features a cast of playable humans turned into rats by a pirate witch. Is that a witch who’s a pirate or a pirate who’s a witch? Maybe she’s equally both? The game’s demo is forthcoming and I got to check it out early. While I love the character art and the storytelling seems promising, I feel like the gameplay could use some more work....

Oops. It appears the Turkish publisher for Cyberpunk 2077 may have accidentally let slip its release date. The publisher’s Twitter post was spotted by Turkey’s branch of VG247. In the Tweet — which has since been taken down — publisher Bilken mentions that the game will hit shelves in 2019. According to a rough translation by PCGamesN, the Tweet read: “The makers of the Witcher series, CD Projekt’s new game [is] Cyberpunk 2077....
