Deadpool has been denied a release in China after censors deemed the movie’s graphic violence, language and nudity too much for audiences, local media reports claim. The no holds barred approach to its content is one of Deadpool’s major selling points, with its R-rating sure to appeal to fans of the comic book character. Fox and Marvel had no comment to Variety yesterday. Ryan Reynolds stars as Deadpool, a mercenary with accelerated healing powers as a result of experimental treatment for cancer....

Kojima Productions tweeted out some information earlier today, detailing what gamers will need to run Death Stranding on PC. The hardware specifications themselves are nothing too demanding for the settings laid out in the image. Keeping track of all the announcements and trailers of the Xbox and Bethesda E3 stream can prove difficult. In the midst of all the chaos, however, one indie title stood out. Replaced, a cyberpunk action platformer, made a strong first impression with its gritty, stylish trailer. Some would reasonably call it the most impressive reveal of Microsoft’s showcase....

Denuvo has clarified more details of its upcoming Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection solution, which it announced earlier this week. In its announcement, the company invited publishers to include Denuvo’s anti-tamper software in Switch games to help crack down on piracy and PC emulation. But many fans were not happy with Denuvo’s involvement, worried about the effect the software may have on performance. A Denuvo spokeperson has since responded to questions surrounding the software, as well as the driving parties behind it....

It’s been a pretty busy week for Destiny 2 fans as the annual Solstice of Heroes event officially kicked off. Although it’s going to be around a couple of weeks longer than originally anticipated, players only have a set amount of time to collect all sorts of new summer themed items like the popular Scooty Puff Jr Sparrow. Unlike last year, the Solstice armor grind doesn’t involve remixed campaign missions and instead tasks players with completing all sorts of different base game activities....

With a little over 24 hours until the launch of Season of Dawn, Destiny 2 players have about a day to get everything they want out of Season of Undying before some things go away forever. Chief among those items with an expiration date is the Undying title, which players must both complete and collect before maintenance begins Tuesday morning (in the US). Bungie has issued a warning to Destiny 2 players that even if they have fulfilled the requirements of the Undying Title, they must still claim it in order for it to remain active....

It’s that time of the week again where Bungie resets the Destiny servers, bringing new Weekly Heroic and Nightfall Strikes for players to try to survive. This week’s Strikes take place on Venus’ Ishtar Sink, where you’ll face the mighty Nexus. The Heroic Strike is a Level 24 task with the Juggler modifier active, so you’ll be receiving no ammo drops for your equipped weapons. Make sure to keep rotating your weapons in order to get by, or bring an Ice Breaker if you have it....

It’s been a long and eventful road for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, but despite its troubled development, which has included the removal of its original developer Hardsuit Labs, Paradox Interactive has popped up to assure fans that work continues on the project, although it won’t be shown at the publisher’s upcoming PDXCon. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, a sequel to developer Troika Games’ much-loved 2004 cult-classic RPG, was initially announced for PC and consoles back in 2019, when it was expected to release the following year....

The Inside Xbox presentation from Gamescom began with some love for Xbox Game Pass, and there’s some absolute delights coming to the Netflix-like service. The two biggies you should take note of are the cracking Ape Out, which is coming to the service this August on PC, and Devil May Cry 5 is available to download from today on either PC or console. As well as those two, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is out today on Xbox Game Pass for PC, whilst Stellaris is available now on Game Pass on Xbox One....

DiRT Rally could be coming to PS4 and Xbox One, judging by a pair of entries on the Taiwanese Games Ratings Board. Console versions of the rally racer were spotted on the ratings board overnight, ahead of an official announcement by Codemasters. The studio has previously left the door open to PS4 and Xbox One versions, however, with chief game designer Paul Coleman telling console fans to “never say never” prior to the game’s PC Early Access release earlier this year....

The original 6v6 maps introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare didn’t all get over well with fans of the franchise. The maps came with an assortment of issues, but the biggest complaint leveled by fans was that they were just too big. Their size couldn’t provide the streamlined combat experience most Modern Warfare players expect from the game’s 6v6 game modes. As such, fans have been asking for new maps for a while now....

Nearly three months post-launch, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remains plagued with all sorts of issues. It seems that for every bug Infinity Ward addresses, a new bug pops up to frustrate players. Despite this, the developer is doing what it can to fix things up, and this weekend it offered fans a quick update on one of the changes it’s preparing to make. Of all the issues that have shown up, which have affected nearly everything from weapons to matchmaking to the spawn system, one of the more persistent problems has affected Modern Warfare’s killfeed, the part of the HUD that summarizes when, how, and by whom players are killed....

Activision has detailed what fans can expect in Season Three of Call of Duty Vanguard & Warzone next week. The Classified Arms season brings plenty of new content to all the various game modes. In Call of Duty Warzone, players will find a new Gulag and a brand new Dig Site point of interest to explore, with oversized fossils and remains. There’s also similar updates to Runway, Peak and Lagoon too, all to set up the upcoming Operation Monarch event....

The genre-mashing action strategy game Castlestorm II brings players back to the humorous fantasy kingdom where everyone is looking for an excuse to attack each other. This time around, the world is literally going to hell as the realms of the dead and the living start to merge, causing catastrophic shifts in the landscape. Still, in this cartoonishly light-hearted campaign, the rulers appear to be taking things well in stride as the kingdom struggles to survive and the dead rise up....

Following GOG’s example, CD Projekt is reportedly considering introducing paid menstrual leave for its employees. In recognition of the impact period pain has on some staff, at the time of the announcement GOG said the “experimental” leave “breaks taboos” and is “yet another step towards making GOG an even more inclusive workplace”, but it won’t stop its “continuous efforts to learn, reflect and improve on how we can do better for all of our team members”....
