First, there was the Nightfall, then the Prestige Nightfall, then Nightfall: The Ordeal with Adept, Hero, Legend, and Master difficulty tiers. Soon there will be an even harder version of Destiny 2’s Nightfall called the Grandmaster difficulty. Developer Bungie revealed that the Nightfall will be getting another difficulty tier in Season 10, which, according to datamined information, will be called Season of the Worthy. In its weekly blog update, Bungie did not go into much detail about the new Nightfall difficulty, but it was a confirmation that Bungie is in fact planning to add new PvE content in Season 10, despite some rumors that Season of the Worthy could be leaving PvE content behind in favor of a season of only new content coming to the PvP side of the game....

Anyone watching the BlizzCon 2018 live stream is probably doing so for the big announcements, like Destiny 2 going free-to-play on PC. Usually, when a game is offered as such, it comes with a caveat or two. At this point, it doesn’t seem like there are any roadblocks. Destiny’s 1.2.0 patch has gone live, bringing with it the new Scorch Cannon, and the Queen’s Emissary NPC, Petra Venj, to accept new bounties from. Bungie has provided a full list of patch notes for 1.2.0, as well as detailing patch 1.2.0.1 which will arrive on House of Wolves’ launch day tomorrow. However, Bungie has noted an issue with patch 1.2.0 where the Cryptarch cannot recognise certain Rare and Legendary Engrams, advising players to hold on to them until the new patch addresses the problem....

Red Candle Games, the developer behind critically acclaimed horror outings Detention and Devotion, has shared a first trailer - and launched a crowdfunding campaign - for its previously revealed “Taopunk” action-platformer Nine Sols, which it’s aiming to release in Q3 next year. When first we heard of Nine Sols last year, Red Candle described it as a “lore rich hand-drawn 2D platformer with Sekiro-inspired deflection-focused combat” - and an accompany bit of concept art set the dark, manga-inspired tone of the experience with its combination of cute animal protagonist and piles of mangled, bloody limbs....

Upcoming football sim Dino Dini’s Kick Off Revival will be exclusive to PlayStation for 6 months, after which it could arrive on other platforms, it’s been revealed. A spokesperson for the game confirmed the exclusivity period to VideoGamer.com yesterday, but did not confirm whether there are any plans to bring the game to other platforms at a later date. Dino Dini’s Kick Off Revival is a top-down football game similar to retro classic Sensible Soccer, and is the first new game in the series to arrive since Kick Off 2002....

DiRT 5 appears to be the latest title to confirm that game saves will not transfer over between generations on the PlayStation as per a tweet from the game’s official Twitter account. Spotted by Video Games Chronicle the tweet was made a few days ago in response to a fan, that confirmed that though Playgrounds creations will transfer over between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, all other game progress will not meaning you’ll have to start again from scratch should you take advantage of the game’s free next-gen upgrade on Sony’s consoles....

Discord has announced its plans to create a new storefront, and as the first step, launched a beta for 50,000 Canadian users. This comes hot off the heels of its announcement of a games tab. Discord Nitro, its subscription-based support service, will also allow access to “Nitro games.” This is separate from what’s in the store, which Discord claims is “kinda like Netflix for games.” The storefront proper will be curated....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has unfortunately been plagued with issues since its launch. Reports from players have detailed a myriad of issues, including Modern Warfare crashing on the Xbox One X. One other issue, however, involves the Dead Silence perk in multiplayer modes. Dead Silence in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is supposed to let players sneak around unheard, stifling their footsteps. Today Activision released the gameplay trailer of the Season 2 Reloaded of Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone. Capcom has announced a last-gen PlayStation 4 version of its upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake - but will still skip the Xbox One. The long-rumoured Resi 4 remake was finally unveiled back in June, and was initially announced for just PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Classic FM has announced a new six episode video game music show, to air Sundays between 9pm and 10pm. Hosted by Jessica Curry, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture composer and The Chinese Room co-founder, the new show will begin its run on Sunday, April 22. “Fourteen years ago, Classic FM became the first station to broadcast a weekly national radio programme dedicated to film music. Developer and publisher Neowiz has confirmed that Alliance of Valiant Arms, better known as AVA Online, will be making its return to Steam soon. Set for a March 31 release, the classic free-to-play first-person shooter dates back to 2007. Although it is most popular in Korea, AVA Online does have an established fanbase in the West, too.
